Beautiful City , Evening Restaurants all with easy walking distance and the crisp night air was refreshing - July in Tassie is not as cold as expected - its a good excuse to wear my winter woollies that did not get out much in northern NSWGuest review byFisherAustralia - 10.0

Grindelwald is in a quiet elevated position in Legana on the Tamar River. As such provides a peaceful relaxing get away with the convenience of a 15 minute trip to Launceston City Centre, and easy access to anywhere along the West Tamar, and via the Batman Bridge also the East. We have stayed on two occasions and both have been good experiences. Wi-fi coverage was a little patchy at times, with mobiles occasionally unable to connect to the internet, or downloading information quite slowly. Other than that, a highly recommended stop for those seeking peace and quiet and a chance to recharge the batteries. It has a small shopping centre, a golf course, and a splash golf range for kids to enjoy, and from signs of construction work, it appears more facilities will soon be added. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to get away from it all.Guest review byStuartAustralia - 10.0
A nice, clean, spacious & tidy place.
A nice, clean, spacious & tidy place. Attractive & comfortable settings; owner should be a designer, Good communication with host Pete. My wife & I will definitely stay in this place again in the future. I would highly recommend this place if one visits Rosevears or north Launceston.Guest review byJamesAustralia - 10.0

Beauty point was a peaceful, secluded little town with plenty of water in which to swim or on which to paddle. The platypus world and seahorse world and creation display were excellent activities which the kids really enjoyed as well as the adults. Without a boat, it’s not a place I could stay for two weeks, but it was certainly a lovely relaxing place to be for a few days.Guest review byGayleAustralia - 10.0

Very chilly, with a cold wind at the time of our visit, but we drove around so I could take photos of the many beautiful old buildings & homes. Spent a very interesting time at the Pilot Station museum , and cafe there, having a truly scrumptious lunch. The history and artifacts in the museum was far more interesting than i expected, and the guardian volunteers who "man" the entrance were so interesting in their narration. The Low Head area is lovely also, and our highlight of that area was the Penguin Tour at dusk on our first evening, and the absolutely great accommodation and food at the Comfort Inn, The Pier was beautiful, with the waterfront right outside our door.Guest review byLorraineAustralia - 8.0
The unit was comfortable and cozy.
The unit was comfortable and cozy. It was a three star accommodation that had all the amenities we required. We used the unit as a base and travelled to different destinations each day and found it in a good area to avoid the traffic at peak hours.Guest review byHelenNew Zealand - 10.0

Nice surprise greeted by a bottle of wine & cookies when checked in. Location was so good less than 5 min walk from a kitchen / gourmet supermarket. Toilet paper roll dispenser is located inside the washing basin cabinet hooked on the door which was an interesting location.Guest review byEdithAustralia - 10.0

There is really only one thing to do in Beaconsfield but a short drive away has wonderful scenery, wine places, and a lake to sit by. It is rural and very beautiful and easy to get lost as gps is not available all over but eventually the road leads you back.Guest review byanneUnited States - 8.0

Liked the location and large rooms. Water pressure fabulous. Didn't like that it is not sound proof. Was hard to sleep at night because you could hear room beside and noise from hallway Beds just okayGuest review byCheryl JohnsonAustralia - 6.0

Overrated - Minimal Facilities. OK for an afternoon visit, nothing more. Handful of shops and a couple of activities. OK for a base to explore the area but not to stay at for long without going elsewhere for things to do. Plenty of Vineyards in the area :-)Guest review byDamo2876Australia
