It does have an odor sometimes because of the industrial businesses. (Pulp mill). The homeless issue is quite bad as Prince George is a central hub in the province.
There are many restaurants to choose from and (what I consider) a lot of shopping options.

The PG Sandman Signature was horrific.
The PG Sandman Signature was horrific. A hockey team’s bus was left running all night right outside 4 floors of rooms. Noise complaint not addressed. Hot water took 15 minutes to heat to even a luke warm temp. Only 1 elevator in working order. Face cloth in bathroom was blood stained. Toilet seat would not remain up. No breakfast offered or available. Limited parking. Language barrier with staff.

Prince George does not feel like a city to us.
Prince George does not feel like a city to us. Instead it feels like 4/5 separate communities that happen to overlap a bit. This is largely due to the downtown area which has the potential to be quite fabulous feeling abandoned and shabby (with the exception of a few nice places to eat and a lovely coffee shop called Rituals).
The various communities are pretty much like their own mini towns with a mall of some kind in the centre and so have no need to venture out of their area, and there is not enough in downtown currently to make it a destination. Though there are a few must sees like Connaught Park.

The malls were good but web sites for go carts need updating as i wasted time driving out there cause site said they were open when it didnt look like track has been used for long time.and theres no customer service at dennys.and timmies arent great
The bed was perfect. Most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on, heck even better than my one at home. The room overall was perfect with a large bathroom and full size walk in shower. Nice day sofa as well that the wife could curl up on and chill out. The cleaning staff were friendly with a good morning or good afternoon every time we passed. Front staff were also great and informative making you fell welcome. Also checking in was a breeze. The hotel close to the craft brewery and some good restaurants as well which was perfect.
This cottage was located on a beautiful, open ranch outside of Prince George. Every little detail was addressed in order to make our stay wonderful. The cottage was immaculate, well equipped and so pleasing to the eye. Delicious cinnamon buns awaited us and Maureen (the host) was there to greet us and ensure we had everything we needed including carrots to feed the horses.
This hotel also seems to house the less fortunate. Government subsidised units perhaps. The shower had a hole through it, most likely from someone's head while doing it doggystyle. The rug was absolutely filthy. Had newer mattresses in the room. Pretty gross place. Dont stay here OR at the other INN downtown prince george. They're both similar and quite beat up.
I stay often. The staff is super helpful EVERY time I have been there. It is a motel, The bathroon is small but the water is hot. Its clean and comfortable. The mini kitchen area has always served me perfectly. There is plenty of parking and a good area to walk my pet in when I bring him. Its my go to stop when travelling through Prince George.
We loved the hotel! Very comfy beds, great workout room with the latest treadmills, the front desk clerk was extremely helpful and very kind to help us. Would definitely recommend this place. I love how the fenced in their parking lot to keep car break-ins from happening.
The hotel was fine. Prince George is a disgusting hole. The room was nice, pet friendly which I didn’t mind and my room certainly didn’t smell like a kennel so A+ on that. Staff were friendly, A+ on that. Prince George is a hole…..minus big time on that.
This hotel was very clean and had a kitchenette. it had a coffee maker and the coffee was decent. it is not a luxury hotel but we weren’t looking for that. price was right, clean quiet room for 12 hours, safe area… perfect.
advertised restaurant and there was none, toilettes wouldn’t flush. A lot of money for a small room and bathroom with no good amenities in the hotel. Parking lot so crowded had no where to park.
Everything was good in the room. The hotel room was clean, spacious enough, located very conveniently to everything that we wanted in town. Desk staff were very friendly. Parking was convenient.
