I enjoyed that everything was in walking distance. The local people are very nice and helpful. The local food was delicious, and the environment was a relaxing atmosphere. If you get lost any local would help you with directions or even take you to your destination. Pakse had many Buddhist monuments that you can walk into and explore and take pictures. Pakse is probably one of the most beautiful places with really incredible people. We rented a bike, it was safe for us there are not many cars on the road and the ones on scooter drive safely. Pakse is a small, dirty town without a clear center. Few good restaurants, and few people speak English. You have to have a scooter to get anywhere. There are interesting places in the area but not many of them are properly developed. Rather, their best years are behind them. You can ask him every question you have and he sort it out for you. The hotel is very clean and has a nice pool to cool of after a hot day. Also you can pay with several cards and need no piles of cash for you stay. The only minor thing is that the location is a bit far from the center but every evening they provide a free ride to the center and back to the hotel. Tina is an amazing host and has done so much to make this a unique stay. Rooms are comfortable and colourful and a really good size. Shower had good hot water and aircon works. Tina was also able to organise a tour of the Bolaven plateau for me within minutes of me arriving.
