The restaurant and breakfast were nice & they went out of their way to make a special dish to meet my dietary requirements. I appreciate that the hotel was for adults only, it is nice to have no kids. Room was clean enough but not exceptional (towels and sheets were dingy). AC was excellent. Bathroom and hot water was good. Housekeeping staff friendly. Great location.

The hotel had a cozy, homely and authentic feel to it, but also featured wonderful facilities for the size of the place. The pool area was very relaxing and it was a nice touch to have frequent complimentary food/tea delivered to us by the pool side. The staff were lovely and were very attentive to our needs. The highlight of the stay was definitely the breakfast. This included a large selection of both continental and local breakfast options with the choice of either eating outside on the terrace or on our own private balcony in the room.

Marrakesh is an amazing city and you won’t be disappointed visiting it the hotel that we stayed at was right in the Medina, which was perfect for exploring the streets. It is very hot in August, so make sure that you are prepared for the dry heat and make sure you have plenty of water at all times. We took an excursion to the atlas mountains, which was slightly cooler and a very enjoyable day. You won’t be disappointed with a trip to Marrakesh.

Agafay is recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Morocco beyond the bustling cities. Just a short drive from Marrakech, Agafay offers a desert landscape with a peaceful, serene atmosphere. Whether you're looking to unwind in desert camps, ride camels across golden dunes, or enjoy a magical sunset over the vast desert, Agafay has something for everyone. The warmth and hospitality of the locals make it an unforgettable experience, and the unique blend of nature and culture creates a perfect getaway. For those seeking adventure, relaxation, or a mix of both, Agafay might be a perfect destination. I highly recommend adding it to your travel plans – it’s an authentic spot that will leave you with lasting memories.

The Medina like many Moroccan cities is a labyrinth of passages and at every corner is a surprise. Very safe and people very helpful and friendly. Recommend the Civitatis walking tour. The Souq was extensive and as always, a chance to practice your bargaining power. Food is very good almost everywhere and recommend trying local restaurants and local food. Vegetables are great and fruit even better. Activities are generally quite inexpensive compared to other locations. Summer is hot, reaching more than 40C every day and barely cools off at night. Many areas in the Medina are still affected by the earthquake in 2023 so there is a lot of building activity in progress...very slow progress!

On arrival we checked in they told us they would let us know if the room was ready! We waited two hours ordering two lattes in the meantime that definitely weren't lattes more like sugary coffee water with no milk we then went to check an they took us down there was no sun lounges on the cabin we booked which is advertised in the photos there was building work going on in the cabin behind us so we asked to get some loungers brought down so we had something to enjoy the sun in! Considering we paid £200 we waited maybe an hour before anyone came down there was cigarette butts around the pool that we had been checked into on our private room neither me nor my partner smoke so was dissapointed as we hate this. They then came down an told us to move cabin so we moved to the one in front hurrying to get our stuff back in suitcase and down to the second room forgetting some of our belongings we then go back to check if we left there an gone (someone had collected them an not informed us even though they literally moved us in the 10minute period so took some of our belongings to reception without telling us). Our new cabins half the decking had collapsed and fallen through and been covered up with a rug 3 floor boards we're sticking in the air that I tripped and hurt my ankle on. The new cabin had a bath with no bath Matt and no bath plug so it was a weird bath with a hand held shower which is difficult to wash in! We didn't really understand. The next day we had hairs in our food that we ordered I informed staff an they replaced the food I noticed another hair in the second food an couldn't be asked to complain again also the tea in the morning tasted like it had salt in! Either they didn't like us or the attention to detail really isn't there. Loooks great on Instagram an update at the view but the detail is missing things and the health an safety!

🌟 Marrakech – A City Full of Life and Surprises 🌟

🌟 Marrakech – A City Full of Life and Surprises 🌟 Marrakech is a truly beautiful city with a vibrant atmosphere unlike anywhere else. It feels safe overall, though visitors should stay alert for pickpockets, especially at night around Jemaa el-Fnaa. The energy of the city is captivating—colorful, lively, and full of character. If you're visiting in August, be prepared for intense heat (40°C+), so choosing accommodations with air conditioning is a must. Haggling is part of the experience, whether you're in the souks or negotiating taxi fares—embrace it! We highly recommend hiring a local guide for half a day; it adds so much depth and context to your visit. One tip: don’t rent a car. The traffic is chaotic and navigating the streets can be stressful. Walking or using local transport is much more manageable. Overall, Marrakech left a lasting impression on us. It’s a city of contrasts and charm, and we’ll definitely be coming back!
