Novalja peaks during summer for the festival season, with Zrce Beach nearby. However, it's a cute small town with its own little charm, I would definitely come at a less busy time (that being said, even during festival season it didn't feel crowded at all), and do some driving to nearby spots on the island. Driving is definitely preferred in Croatia in general (just be aware of limited parking and teeny two way streets), but you can arrive by bus to Novalja too.Guest review byMayaAustralia - 10.0

Our second Croatian island (the first was Lošinj) and another marvel! We were enthralled by the nature, we loved the diverse beaches, the restaurants and food were great, the locals extremely friendly, and for those wondering about Zrće - yes, it is just as lively and fun as everyone is saying. Pag is truly a well-rounded destination and you can be sure there is something for everyone to discover and fall in love with.Guest review byMilkaSerbia - 10.0
Povljana is growing too fast.
Povljana is growing too fast. The rapid construction of unsightly apartment buildings threatens the original charm of this peaceful coastal village and slowly pushes it toward the fate of overcrowded resorts like Makarska. For now, the situation is still bearable – but it feels like a tipping point is approaching. One can only hope that local authorities and residents will act before the soul of the place is lost for good.Guest review byMichalCzech Republic - 10.0
The location is fabulous.
The location is fabulous. The sea is clean and full with sea life. There are at least 3-4 restaurants in Mandre, two grocery shops and 2-3 bakeries. There is a cheese shop about 3 km away in Kolan, that has a lot of tasty local specialties.Guest review byAndrejSlovenia - 10.0

Small village very quiet, with a couple of restaurants and a nice beach bar shaped like an old galeon. The village has a pebble beach with shallow water that is perfect for families with childre. There is another similar beach about 900 mt from the village, and you can get there by car if you wish. There are a couple of restaurants, we ate at the larger one at the beginning of the village. Nice location on the sea, food is average. There is also a very beautiful hiking trail, called "Life on Mars" that is about 8 km long and is really a must. You can walk it with sneakers, no problem. Perfect place for families and couples who look for a quiet and naturalistic place to spend a regenerating vacation.Guest review byRobertoSwitzerland - 10.0
This is a quiet place very good for families with kids.
This is a quiet place very good for families with kids. There are not that many restaurants around. There is a bakery and a small grocery shop. Most of the beaches are for the accommodated guests but there is also one large beach Planjka at the entrance to the village. There are very nice beaches available within 15mins by car - Plaza Jadra and Cista Plaza.Guest review byTomas - 10.0

It’s a fairly remote village, but it’s full of life and really gorgeous. There is a little market where you can buy mostly vegetables, some olive oil stands, but the nearest shop is a 20 min drive away. The olive gardens are really beautiful, you can find nice spots along the trail!Guest review byBrosy - 10.0

Pag is a beautiful place with a distinctive island atmosphere, hospitable inhabitants and acceptable and varied services. Everyone can find a place according to their requirements, even during two weeks there is still something new to discover and get to know. Beautiful place, we will definitely come back.Guest review byPeterSlovakia
