Daylesford is a brilliant place to stay.
Daylesford is a brilliant place to stay. It was a short drive from Melbourne and definitely a hub for many lovely towns around it. Daylesford has many high quality shops, beautiful places to eat, The Mill Antique Market and beautiful art galleries including The Convent Gallery. There are some beautiful parks to enjoy a picnic or stroll.Guest review byLewisAustralia - 10.0

Enjoy walking through the stunning autumn colours in your winter coat as you soak in the natural beauty all around. The local eateries are a short drive from local accommodation and are popular with both locals and tourists alike. It's the perfect weekend or week long getaway destination. I'll be back!Guest review byThomas - 6.0

Plenty of day trips can be made from Seymour in various directions; lots of parks/playgrounds for children, walking tracks along the Goulburn River, wineries nearby, lots of cafes and places to eat, as well as takeaway and bakeries. Found it to be very relaxing and peaceful place to stay.Guest review byStephen NorgateAustralia - 8.0

The resort was clean and tidy, although could use with some updating, it felt a little tired. The spa in the room was by far the highlight, the view looking out the window was peaceful. We were excited to go to the pool and spa area as it looked so good on the website, but we were disappointed when we got there that the spa had been drained and was not in use. We already knew that the day spa area itself was closed for renovations so this just added to the disappointment, and I'm not sure if this was all factored into the cost or not as the room rate was ok but could have been less considering lots of facilities were not in use. Also it seemed odd that the pool area closes at 5pm when the staff go home, bit of a rush to have a swim as check in is 3pm. The meal at the restaurant was delicious but very expensive, I got the steak which was an extra $10 and then sides another additional cost, I felt the steak was overpriced once you added sides. The entrée lettuce gems were divine, and we thought the rolls with entrée would have been a nice local sour dough or similar, but they were just the regular oval shaped rolls that we get at the local supermarket at home. The wait staff at the restaurant were fantastic and very welcoming and friendly. I would suggest getting an upper floor room as you can hear the spa above when you are in a ground floor room, it wasn't a huge deal but just a tip for those who are unsure whether to pay the extra cost, I think it would be worth it and I hope we return sometime in the future and we will do the same. The area is gorgeous, so many great little stops along the way from Ballarat, and Woodend is a cute little town. As the restaurant at the resort wasn't serving breakfast, we went into town to Paysanne cafe and give it 5 stars.Guest review byTraceyAustralia - 10.0

The motel was easy to find. Reception was good and helpful. Room was very clean, tidy and quite spacious for a family room. Only thing was that you could hear the next room going to toilet and using water which was quite annoying.Guest review byColleenAustralia - 10.0

Its a small town that offers delicious Pub meals . We ate at The American , a hotel with a fantastic bistro. Its close to Daylesford, close to Clunes and even Ballarat. We explored Hanging Rock at Woodend, the Sunday market and the Mill markets in Daylesford. Trentham Falls are well worth a visitGuest review byRahelAustralia - 8.0
