Tours is too big for us (prefer smaller towns such as Boise and Amboise. The old town is vibrant with lots of pubs and variety of restaurants. Didn't see too much of the rest of the town given its sizeGuest review byRonAustralia - 8.0

Place Martroi great central spot , lots of cafes eateries etc. in the old town & down to the river. Cathedral lived up to expectations. Don’t bother with the sightseeing train - little to see that you can’t do on foot.Guest review byIainUnited Kingdom - 10.0

There are two monuments of must-see quality in Bourges: the cathedral, which is utterly outstanding, and the renaissance palace of Jacques Coeur. The old centre itself is exceedingly fine, rich in medieval, renaissance and eighteenth-century buildings. The gardens by the cathedral are beautiful, there was open-air dancing and a superb free light show through the old town. Bourges should be on everyone's bucket list.Guest review byWilliamUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We usually use Chartres as on overnight stop for travelling further south and it's always a pleasant town to visit. The Son et Lumiere display on the Cathedral and other locations around the town centre are always amazing. The central old town is lovely to wander round with plenty of restaurants offering well priced, good quality food, not a fast food chain outlet in sight!Guest review byClareUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Blois is a very old historic city with a Royal Chateau and a House of Magic. Very good for families with children. There are many other Castles and a Zoo nearby. All in All, it seemed to be a family oriented, international vacation destination. It was hard to keep up with all the languages we heard !Guest review byBarryepsteinUnited States - 10.0

The closed street with restaurants at the foot of the castle, the river with huge wall up to the castle, the tiny staircase we found that took us to the top of the wall and then another to go back down to the city, the short walk to the castle and Clos Luce, all so beautiful.Guest review byMcHaleUnited States - 6.0
I needed to find a bed without any dinner or other...
I needed to find a bed without any dinner or other facilities late in the day and only for the night as would be moving on early the next day. Therefore cost was the primary concern. It was cheap and the bed comfortable, though the room noisy when other guests were moving around the building or noisy in their rooms. Don't take breakfast option, it was poor value and not as you might expect when at reception. Behind reception is a pleasant looking restaurant, however breakfast for this hotel is in a side room which is not so pleasant and with not a great selection of food and drink. Check in staff did not make this clear when option offered at check in.Guest review byPatrickGermany - 6.0

Very tired looking which is sad because it is in a perfect location for shopping centres and being on a main road it was easy to find at night. So easy to get to a beautiful shopping centre just a few minutes away.Guest review byRuthUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The access to the hotel by car was easy and the hotel parking was plentiful. In the past we were able to bring our own wine and pay corkage but this year we were told to drink it in our room. We got up and left and went to another restaurant. The restaurant is within the grounds of the hotel but seems to be managed by a different person to the hotel owner.Guest review bywilliam - 10.0

An interesting town, at least in the older central area around the church (or cathedral). Seemed full of life with interesting shops and restaurants. Also a wide selection of local wines on sale. We only stayed a single night on our way further south, and would certainly come here again next time we travel this way.Guest review byRobinUnited Kingdom
