Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks...
Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks were a bit disappointing as there was a fair bit of pollution and cloud, so not clear to see. Very cold as well, waiting for sunrise, but plenty of vendors selling hot drinks.
Sherpa Tensing Norgay’s house is a must see( although I didn’t as I became ill), as is ‘toy’ train, which is a narrow train that chugs up and down through nearby towns.
There is a huge Body Shop as well.
Tea plantations are interesting but not open all the time.
Clothing is fairly cheap, especially puffer jackets.

City of Darjeeling has as such nothing to visit..
City of Darjeeling has as such nothing to visit.. Entire town streets full of warm clothe shops and nothing else.. however, nearby places are good as usual.. this is my 5th time to the place and not new.. people with 3-4 days time can explore various places, talk to nature, enjoy the cool bridge..
It was lovely stay at Syengden Nikunj. The homestay is very well maintained and the owner and his wife(Parul didi) both are very sweet and helpful. The owner himself took us to see the Sunrise(with a cup of tea) & rainbow waterfall by their own car and charged very small amount for the same. The breakfast served was too good, even we can say it was the best breakfast we had during our 4 days stay in Darjeeling. I can say the homestay is much better than to stay in a costly hotel.
Hidden Monkey Stays in Darjeeling is like finding a hidden gem in the mountains. It's the kind of place that feels more like crashing at a friend's cozy cabin than a hotel. The funky decor gives off major chill vibes, and the staff is as friendly as they come. Plus, it's right smack in the middle of all the cool stuff in Darjeeling, so you can stumble out and explore in no time. If you're up for a laid-back, budget-friendly adventure, this spot's got your back(pack).
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting darjeeling, it near to the main shopping hub and nearby to all attractions around as well as the view from our room was mesmerising, the name lives up to it and the view of the summit from the summit is just wonderful.
We had a wonderful stay in Darjeeling at Magnolia Residency.
Every morning, we had a delicious warm breakfast. We could discover local specialties such as Momos and Bhaley bread.
The lovely family running the hotel was incredibly nice, as well as their staff.
We also enjoyed the lovely rooftop terrace where we could drink Darjeeling tea in front of the hills.
The view of Darjeeling from the property (specially Kanchenjunga, although we were not so lucky), its heritage looks, quality and quantity of food, room service, very nice and supporting attitude and behaviour of all the hotel staff, room facilities provided as promised, 24 hr room heater and hot water service.
Very polite staff, facilities are satisfactory, cleanliness also good, water supply also good, car facilities also provided for mall road and other facilities also very good. If I come again darjeeling will prefer to Hotel Amaira and also refer to anybodelse.
Situated beside SBI bank..Rooms are cozy with all modern amenities.. room, bathroom are clean..hot water geyser n electric kettle are there.. the hotel is very near to Darjeeling mall..2min walk.. the host is very polite and honest person..
Firstly the property caretaker uncle and aunty are very caring helpful and lovely. We feel like we just stay with our family member with them. And the view from the hotel balcony is awsome. A clear view point of whole darjeeling city.
Clean and comfortable rooms in a heritage property, very close to the center of Darjeeling but still quiet and secluded, wonderful staff, this hotel had it all. When we wanted an off-menu dish for dinner the staff obliged.
Brilliant! THE place in Darjeeling, for a cosy, comfortable, delightful little place! Shukrit the host, is absolutely marvelous! The best I've had in the last 15 years, I feel... The cuisine was phenomenal, too!
The most delicious breakfast and kindest and friendliest host. The best views I saw of Darjeeling were from this hotel. Loved my morning exploring watch the sunrise over Mt Kanchenjunga and exploring their farm.
Great place for a solo traveler,
I should say the best........ At darjeeling for backpacks.
All staff are friendly.
If you like the nature and peaceful place you should be come this place.
The location is a big positive about the hotel.. You can stay away from the busy narrow streets of Darjeeling and you can visit one sight seen spot that is Batasiya Loop at your convenience.
Each and every services was satisfactory. Staffs are very cooperative. Location is good. Breakfast is highly appreciated. I will definitely visit this hotel if I come to Darjeeling.
The location on the map of the hotel is different than the actual. We were not able to find the Hotel. We tried calling the Hotel . No one picked up. We had to find another hotel
I booked for 3 adults, but at time of hotel check out they charged for extra five hundred, Hotel experience was very bad, I suggest don't go book with this hotel
