Ranua is a good place to be away from the Rovaniemi city buzz and experience the quietness. Staff was friendly and helped us book or SnowMobile tour and also answered all our touristy questions. The zoo is fantastic and a must visit for family. Rooms: FoxB : Very cozy place with a good kitchen and Sauna. The beds were comfortable. But all rooms have single beds which you can join and use as a double. Kitchen : The kitchen has everything you need. Just pop to the closest grocery store. We love the hike, So we walked to the nearest one. its about 25-30mins walk one way, or the reception will give you a ride as well. Fireplace: We used it once during our stay and it really helps to bring a ncie vibe to the place Sauna : Nice and easy to use and will keep you nice and warm The restaurant serves good breakfast. There are 2-3 different restaurants, where im sure you can get food during your stay. ** We arrived at 1900ish, which was the same time as the restaurant closes as well. Yuha from reception gave a headsup to the chef and they were super sweet to wait for us and make the last meal. We dont eat lot of meat, So the chef made a delicous chicken burger and we were set**

Lapin Villa is the most cozy place we have ever been, it looks like the gingerbread’s house 🥰. Inside they have everything you need and it’s very comfortable, especially for kids. The shower is outside, inside the sauna. Something very new to us, but is worth the experience! Right next to the lake, with an amazing view, we even got the chance to see the Auroras.
