Offering a terrace and views of the sea, The Olive Yard is set in Gytheio in the Peloponnese Region, 50 km from Kalamata. Monemvasía is 44 km from the property. I liked the architecture of the hotel and the location. Being among olive trees was very serene and calming. The design of the rooms was very nice, and the staff was very accommodating to our needs. I also liked the fact that they were very friendly to animals, not just guests' pets but also stray cats from the area.

The property, nestled among olive trees, is set in a truly beautiful location with a beautiful view. The room features high-quality materials, and every small detail is carefully taken care of. We were welcomed by George — the owner — who showed us around the property that has been in his family for years. Olives are offered as a tasteful gift inside the room, along with other small touches. The room is in a quiet area and yet only a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Nafplio. George gave us valuable advice on sightseeing and restaurants — worth gold! And… don’t miss Linda, the friendly and adorable dog!

Everything about our stay was perfect. Nikos, the host, was friendly, attentive, informative and always available if we needed anything. The location is amazing: up near the castle overlooking the rest of the town. Great views and very peaceful, but still just a very short walk to the town center on one side and the beach on the other. Really an ideal spot. The place seems quite new and has been designed as a nice mix of modern and antique. Rooms were spotless and the beds incredibly comfortable. Nikos brought an amazing breakfast every morning: yoghurt, fresh fruit, cheese and spinach pies, bread, jams and juice, which we ate on the patio overlooking the town and harbour.
