I booked a lake view room, and it did not disappoint. Amazing view right from the bedroom. Waking up to that is simply amazing, I can highly recommend it. The room was also comfortable, spacious, and has a nice kitchen for cooking some simple meals.

The hotel is on the hill so it is very quiet. Scenery is absolutely beautiful and it is easy to drive to the other beautiful lakes nearby. It takes you 10 minutes to walk to the lake and you can swim there. The view from the restaurant terrace is absolutely fantastic! It compensates all the less desirable things in the hotel.

There was a washing machine and a sauna (although without a direct possibility to cool down - the bathroom is up the stairs). The location is very central to Grundlsee, the apartment is very cozy and has a nice view over the lake. The spot we spent the most time was near the windows, on the comfortable lounger where we had our coffee, read our books or drew pictures with the little one, when we were not out exploring.
