Just a 5-minute walk both from Heiligenblut’s centre and ski area, the family-run Hotel Kaiservilla features a spa area with a Finnish sauna and a steam bath, and a ski storage room with a ski boot... Beautiful building and room, wood everywhere. It was very cozy and with a nice view on the mountains. Breakfast was excellent, a lot of options to choose from. Very nice little spa with sauna and relax room.

Family-run for over 300 years, Gasthof Post in Rennweg is just off the A10 motorway and a 5-minute drive from the Katschberg Ski Area. It offers a sauna, steam bath, and free Wi-Fi. The breakfast was great and very comprehensive for a smaller place

The barrier-free eduCARE Hotel in Treffen is a 10-minute walk away from the banks of the Ossiachersee Lake. It offers a restaurant with a garden terrace and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is very clean and accessible. There is a gim, spa and wellness, as well as billiards and fussball room. The rooms are spacious and warm, and we had a small terrace/deck with sesting area. The ski room is big with boot heaters/dryes. Breakfast is excellent with meats, cheese, different pastries and bread types, as well as eggs, vegetables, bacon, dairy products and cereals.

Located at 2,304 metres above sea level in the Hohe Tauern National Park, Wallackhaus RegioJet Hotels is set next to the ski slope Grossglockner/Heiligenblut. This is an amazing location along the spectacular Grossglockner Alpine scenic highway. It makes you feel on top of the world surrounded by alpine peaks. The hotel was one of the most unique experiences we have ever had. We got the half board rate with breakfast and dinner included and the food was excellent. Gourmet coffee, tea and water with flavored syrups were included and available 24/7. Then there was assorted beer and wine, snacks, sumptuous deserts and some of the best ice cream ever that you could get 24/7 by using a automated self serve kiosk. Each room was given a card to scan to purchase items and it was charged at checkout. It was a system built on honesty. They have a outstanding wellness area including 2 saunas, a relaxation room and a jacuzzi. There was also an activity room with ping pong, foosball and darts. The rooms were simple but very clean and comfortable with most having mountain views. The staff was very helpful in our inability to speak the local language. We had toured for 12 days and this hotel was the highlight for our group of 5.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, meticulously clean and comfortable property. The family that owns and operates this recently renovated property welcomed us with open arms and took very good care of us. Our room was very comfortable. The shower was great. Balcony views incredible. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Carinthia, mostly locally sourced fresh products. Good coffee, good eggs. We are hiking Alpe Adria trail and this has been one of our favorite stays. Thanks for hosting us! I would highly recommend a stay here to anyone walking Alpe Adria or touring my car in the area.
