I met the first lady of the house on my last morning and she was charning with a lovely aura. great breakfast - brown healthy bread; eggs; cheese yoghurt and lots of lovely healthy stuff to eat it with. Good place to start hikes from.

Set amidst a pine tree forest, on a hillside of Pindos, Grand Forest Metsovo - Leading Hotels of the World features an elegantly decorated gourmet restaurant and a mountain-view bar. Lovely place. But even more than the hotel was the welcoming, attentive, gentle staff. Who was there for every wish and helped with every problem. The inner swimming pool and Jacuzzi was amazing. And rooms were very cosy.

Almost everything! Right in the center of the town, so very convenient. Big room, comfortable bed. Very clean. Great breakfast. The manager was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Metsovo is a vibrant village still with plenty of locals, and there is a big choice of restaurants and cafes. I recommend parking in the main square area and not trying to use their on-site parking because the aporoach is very narrow and steep.
