The Nomad Inn Gujo nằm ở Gujo Hachiman, Gujo, cách Gero Station 46 km, Rensho-ji Temple chỉ vài bước chân và Joinji Temple 1 phút đi bộ. It was an experienced stay. The house is Japanese-style and the owner was very kind. He gave interested information about the city and He even picked and dropped us at the Gujo Hachiman IC bus stop.

Such a perfect stay - we were blown away. The place is in a very beautiful onsen village in a quiet part of Japan. Super easy to get to from Takayama & to visit Kamikochi. The owners were so kind & accomodating. We had a huge traditional bedroom complete with futon, tea & kimono. Private outdoor onsens we could use as a couple. The food was absolutely incredible. Soooo much love & thought went into every course. It was the best meal of the trip. Thank you so much for having us!

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. Absolutely LOVED our time at Mozumo. The facilities are beautiful and the staff was incredible. The level of hospitality we received was on another level. The private onsen was also a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast experience so much, the lady who served us was knowledgeable about every dish and answered all our questions, she was so warm and lovely (I wish we had caught her name!) Would recommend 100% for anyone looking for a unique ryokan experience in a beautiful environment.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. What an exquisite place. We spent two blissful nights here and from start to finish felt coddled and cared for by the lovely, gracious family who own and run the auberge. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with the highest quality bedding and softest pyjamas imaginable (I had to buy some to take home!). The food was absolutely top-notch, five-star by any rating, as good as anywhere in the world (I’m talking NYC, London, Paris). The wine pairings were delicious, unusual, well thought through (and natural). The design was beautiful, clean, understated and very very cool with lots of locally crafted furniture. The service was attentive and kind, and we had everything we needed provided for us. Lastly the private onsen was a delight and always available when we wanted it. What a lovely, intimate hideaway—on the outskirts of Takayama, shuttle from and to station provided, making it very easy. Thank you Toshi and Keiko and family—this was an unforgettable stay.

Offering traditional Japanese-style accommodation with spacious public baths, Yatsusankan Over 6 years old is a 6-minute walk from JR Hidafurukawa Train Station. It was a perfect stay for us, a short train away from Takayama, and easy to travel to Shirawaka after. It is a place you don't want to leave after you get there. Very relaxing, beautiful, the staff were, the food incredible. The rooms were perfect, clean, spacious, the views, the bath, the beds. Everything was perfect!

Location, private onsen in the suite, kaiseki dinner is elegant and delicious, so is the delicious breakfast, both served in our room, it’s a great experience. The staffs are very warm and helpful. It gave free entrance ticket to the big public onsen which is a great extra benefit.
