Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. My stay at Mozumo was a dream—a very relaxing experience. The private onsen in the room made everything very special. The room was big and comfortable. I would strongly recommend the dinner and breakfast experience. A shuttle picked us up from the bus station, which was helpful after a long trip.

All the staff were cheerful, polite, and genuinely welcoming. Both dinner and breakfast were thoughtfully prepared, with a wide variety of dishes and excellent taste. You really shouldn’t eat too much beforehand, as the dinner here is plentiful and delicious. The location is great for those planning to visit Kamikochi — it’s just a short walk from the bus station to the ryokan. It’s a perfect place to relax and recover after exploring Kamikochi. Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. This Auberge is so beautiful and charming that we enjoyed every moment we stayed there

Offering traditional Japanese-style accommodation with spacious public baths, Yatsusankan Over 6 years old is a 6-minute walk from JR Hidafurukawa Train Station. highly recommend, everything is perfect: quiet and beautiful place, friendly and helpful staff, private dinning experience; hot spring bring relaxation and pleasure. The lady who serves the dinner is the most elegant and kindly person we have never met before.

It gave free entrance ticket to the big public onsen which is a great extra benefit.
