Amazing stay. Service was excellent. It is nice to feel like a King for a few days. Staff is always tending to your needs, and finding ways to accommodate you. I recommend taking a trek up Shali peak. The Oberoi Guide was outstanding. Very experienced and knowledgeable. Food was great, especially that morning breakfast on the balcony. No complaints.

My introduction to The Oberoi Hotels at The Cecil was an absolute delight, largely due to the remarkable warmth and professionalism of the staff. I have rarely encountered such genuine courtesy. Our stay was incredibly relaxing and comfortable, with the team consistently going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. I would especially like to recognize Swati, Raghav, Sujata, and Sahil, whose individual efforts truly made our stay memorable. Their keen eye for detail and personalized approach made us feel exceptionally welcome and completely at ease. For unparalleled hospitality, luxurious comfort, exceptional food, and an unforgettable sense of indulgence, I wholeheartedly recommend The Cecil.

Mahasu House is like a piece of heaven come down in Mashobra. We travelled in the end of December 2024 and were delighted to find the property covered in snow which made it look even more beautiful. The staff and owner were very kind and helpful even arranging a pickup for us from the last 200 meters where the snow was thicker while guests of other hotels nearby had to walk down. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and spacious and it felt like a home away from home. The living and dining rooms were something you’d see in a postcard. There are heaters in every room and the beds are nice and comfortable. The staff was extremely polite and generous and we did not hear the word ‘No’ during our stay. Every request we had, from bonfires to food for our dog, were fulfilled with a smile. The food was delicious and we couldn’t eat enough. The loveliest part was the way staff would check on the next meal menu and ask for any special requests and their hospitality was unparalleled. They also helped us booking cabs to visit nearby attractions. We also met the owner again and his lovely wife on Christmas and they were kind, helpful and so friendly. Their welcoming personalities are reflected in their property as well and we will always remember our time spent here. We had the most wonderful time for the three nights we were at Mahasu house and every future hotel we stay at will be compared unfavourably to Mahasu House.

Breakfast was exceptional with different British and Indian options as well as omelette made To order. The staff was phenomenal and on top of everything. The spa is a must and if I had more time I probably would have spent a whole day there.

Loved everything. The staff was so courteous, helpful and friendly. It was my husband's birthday so without me asking them to get a cake they got one. The food is amazing! The breakfast and pizzas we ordered via room service were yummy. The place is serene and a perfect getaway for couples.

Professionalism at all forms. I had a pleasant stay and the views from the room was awesome. They have shuttle pick-up and drop-off to certain point if you are going out from the hotel. If i ever come back to Shimla, this hotel will be on my first thought.
