Absolutely beautiful! A wonderfully peaceful oasis in Sepilok right next to the orangutan rehabilitation centre. Being surrounded by nature was my favourite part, we even had some visitors in the form of orangutans on a couple of occasions! food was simple, but there was an authority, and it was tasty! We loved our experience here, so much that we booked an extra night!

The executive twin room is very spacious and well appointed with ample space for luggage, a large wardrobe, chair, tables, etc. The bathroom is also very generously sized. Everything functioned well except for the WiFi which often stopped working/was very slow. Otherwise it was quite quiet and relaxing - perfect for anybody who is in need of a peaceful space! Note that they do in fact take credit card (unlike what it says on this website).

The Elopura Hotel located on the East Coast of Sabah which also known as “Land below the Wind”. Elopura name itself was the first name of Sandakan when it was found by William B Prier back in 1879.

I like the fact the have Netflix, hot heater, working acon, super clean, comfy, basic amenities available and just a walkaway from the waterfront😄👍🏼 I'll definitely come back here again on my next sandakan trip

Quick check in and check out. The fastest I’ve ever experienced from any hotel. Breakfast provided. Our room had a balcony.

I had an early flight to Sandakan and headed straight to the hotel. I've requested for an early check-in (between 9am-10am). The hotel was very accommodating to allow an early check-in so I can refresh myself before going for my appointment. I don't usually take breakfast because all I need to start my day is a cup of hot coffee. Glad to see that there's a coffee & tea facility at the lounge so I can have my coffee the way I like it, even if it's instant coffee.
