Living in Australia, we don't have castles. So the opportunity to stay in a castle was too good to pass up. Schloss Schadau did not disappoint. We were met at reception by Helen who could not have been more helpful and was also had a wealth of knowledge about the property. She personally showed us to our beautiful room which had a magnificent view of the lake and the Alps behind. If you stay here you simply MUST have dinner here as well. Again there is no escaping from the fact that you are in a castle ! The dining room(s) are luxurious and the food and the service are excellent, matching the decor. Breakfast is served in the same location. It wasn't cheap, but hey ! It's a castle. If you are able to stay one night or more here. You should do it. Unforgettable.

In a quiet location in the village of Gsteigwiler, B3 Boutique-Bed&Breakfast is 3.5 km from the centre of Interlaken. It offers a terrace and free WiFi. Guests can order a breakfast basket. Very clean, cozy and charming place to stay. Far away from the tourism chaos at Lauterbrunnen, but close enough to bus connections and also train connections in Widerswil. Thus you can easily get to Interlaken, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen....

Swiss Inn & Apartments is set in a residential area of Interlaken, a 3-minute walk from the West Train Station, shops and the city centre. It couldn’t be more perfect. The hostess lady at reception was so lovely and friendly and even helped us carry luggages to the top floor. Convenient location near to Interlaken West station. The room was recently remodeled with a beautiful view from the balcony, good air conditioner, neat and bright bathroom, and even a full-featured microwave. Definitely recommend!

The charming chalet-style Fassbind hotel is quietly situated in Beatenberg high above Lake Thun facing the imposing Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. The location was perfect for us. Really close to the bus stop and Interlaken. Our hosts were amazing and made our stay very special. The breakfast was great, we particularly enjoyed the fresh bread and the delicious cheese! A rather nice touch was the little bag outside our room which had a different treat in it each day! Also our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and recommended beautiful places to visit and things to do, such as the mountain party! Thanks to Dani we were able to take the car train from Kandersteg in order to cross into the Valais region! We will definitely go back and stay there! Eric the cat and Heidi the dog were gorgeous!

Quietly situated on the bank of the Aare River amid the Jungfrau ski region, Aparthotel Goldey is 5 minutes on foot from the centre of Interlaken West and 15 minutes from Interlaken East. Very nice view. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Offering panoramic views over Lake Thun and the Bernese Alps, this traditional chalet in the small village of Schwanden is 200 metres from the Sigiswil Ski Lift. Absolutely amazing stay with the best host and experience so far. The property is stunning, and there are beautiful views from our balcony. The house was nicely decorated, modern, and had everything we needed. The host was great and very communicative. It was perfect for our family vacation. We had a great stay. Highly recommended!! 👌 👌

Apartment Beck enjoys a quiet location just 300 metres from the Wilderswil Train Station. It offers views of the Jungfrau Mountain and has a terrace and a fully equipped kitchen. Perfect location. Close to the train station. Host was lovely!
