Our stay was amazing thanks to the welcoming owner and his wife, who made us feel right at home. The staff was both educational and fun, making our experience truly memorable. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a quiet and organic retreat.

This spacious home is in a lovely location, set amid farms in the mountains. It is close to the main town of Assomada as well as picturesque Sao Jorge dos Orgaos, plus less than an hour from Praia airport. It’s an Ideal location for exploring the eastern and northern coasts including Tarrafal, as well as driving and hiking the mountains. The home features a spacious and well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds in both bedrooms, good airflow to cool things down, plus a fan to use. There are also a nice sofa and comfortable chairs in the main room, along with a large dining table and desk. The bathrooms are huge, with nice towels. It is great to have the caretaker next door in case of any issues or needs. She does laundry as needed and can cook meals as well. We especially enjoyed the garden, with herbs and greens to use, and very pleasant terrace to spend a lazy time outside in the afternoon. The hosts have prepared a very complete guide to drives, hikes, and attractions in the area. We really appreciated their excellent recommendations. More importantly, they respond incredibly well and promptly to questions or needs.

We loved being right in touch with the shopkeepers and farmers in the countryside. A quiet oasis to return to after a day of hiking beaching and exploring the island.
