We had the entire house to ourselves, with one or two additional guests, and it honestly felt like we had our own private home in a different country. The space was warm, welcoming, and had everything we could’ve possibly asked for. What really made this experience so special was the hospitality. Even though Pauline wasn’t there in person, she made sure we were looked after in every way. Her son and sister checked in on us, offered help, and genuinely made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It went far beyond what you’d expect—kind, thoughtful, and personal in the best way. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the house was spotless, and every corner felt cared for. It was peaceful, cozy, and the perfect base for our time in England. We can’t thank Pauline and her family enough for such a memorable and heartwarming stay. If you get the chance to stay here—take it.

Cosy home in Middleton St George, Darlington is located in Dinsdale Station, just 16 miles from Middlesbrough Cathedral and 16 miles from Richmond Castle. Very well presented house immaculately clean. Facilities were excellent, everything you need was at the property. Excellent value for money. Welcome hamper on arrival, which was handy after travelling for 6 hours and arriving early evening. Highly recommend a stay at this property. Owners very helpful.

Crofton Dye House is located in Yarm, just 21 miles from Raby Castle and 22 miles from Richmond Castle. We only booked one night but would definitely return. The flat was nicely furnished, very comfortable and Ollie was a lovely host. Great position in the town and a couple of minutes walk from the High street. We slept really well and didn't hear a thing except the odd train going over the nearby viaduct. We were met by Ollie with a quick tour and the keys. It has its own private entrance.
