The vibe is very homey and relaxing. Lovely high ceilings, beautiful plants inside and out. There is a divine deep soaking tub. There’s a legit coffee machine and loose leaf tea. Our 6 year-old loved the stairs, the slippers and the cool shower head that could be clicked for different settings! The view is stunning and there are different places to sit and be. It’s about 20mins by car (we ubered) to Hobart and 8mins to the Kingston beach. The hosts were lovely and communicated well before and throughout our stay with thoughtful things for our stay (like beach chairs and fresh abalone caught by them!). We hadn’t had a holiday in 5.5years and it was absolutely just what we needed.

    Loved that we stayed here.

    Loved that we stayed here. I orginally wanted to stay in the Tower suite but it was booked for the dates i wanted to stay. So i booked a suite anyway. On our second day (we visited Bruny Island) i received a phone call from Villa Howden asking if we wanted to have an upgrade to the Tower suite as it was my birthday. So they moved all of our things into this beautiful suite. It was so thoughtful. Villa Howden is easily accessible if you have a car and getting to and from everywhere is easy. The Villa itself is just lovely considering its age. It does require some work. We had dinner one night there and breakfast everyday. Room was very clean and so were bathrooms. Like that it has a seperate toilet to the bathroom. Fridge is stocked of snacks and drinks which I think is excellent. Nothing was an issue for the staff at Villa Howden. We plan on coming back again in the future.

    This place is amazing it’s actually the best hotel we have ever stayed in and we have travelled a lot - it is the most glorious Tuscan Villa - you feel you are actually in Tuscany. The ambience, the decor, decorations are all superb, the rooms are magnificent we stayed in the Tower Suite it’s huge with a free standing bath and glorious views. Breakfast is wonderful and it is close to Hobart, Kingston, Bruny Island and everything south of Hobart. We return again and again and we always will.

    A stunning hotel in a fantastic location. Villa Howden has a calming vibe and beautiful interior. My partner and I had an evening meal and we both chose the steak. We both agreed it was the best steak we had eaten. You could have cut through it with a spoon. Superb!

    JohnZ was very attentive to all of our group, he is a real asset to this hotel. The breakfast was excellent each morning. We travelled to the hotel by our rental vehicle but it is a little out of the way but it's very quiet there.
