Traveling in the shoulder season when mountain resort towns are closing down, it was a treat to have a kitchenette. The hotel is in center of town with free parking all around. The staff was friendly, kind and extremely professional.

Margaux & Engueran were simply the best hosts we have ever had! Les Ruisseaux was beautiful, charming and perfectly located for all the hikes we wanted to do in the area.     Amazing place to base yourself for time in the Pyrenees.

    Amazing place to base yourself for time in the Pyrenees. We stayed for a week and could have stayed a few more days. Tons of hikes, waterfalls, water activities, and climbing within an hour's drive (but many places are much closer than that). My one piece of advice would be to make dinner reservations ahead of time or order your takeout early because most places fill up really fast and even the pizza places stopped taking orders early in the evening because they filled up so quickly! It's a great place though, and we really enjoyed our time there.

    Cauterets is lovely town in the middle of the Pyrenees with amazing views of the mountains. A good base if you like hiking or cycling. It has a market with lots of yummy food, bakeries, restaurants and other shops. There are quite a few hotels and lots of apartments, so a great summer destination.

    I was in Cauterets to do some walks.

    I was in Cauterets to do some walks. In the four days I was there in June 2025 there were two days of low cloud which restricted the type of walk that could be done, but also two clear, sunny days which allowed more choice. The climate in the area means that there is no certainty about the type of weather you may get. It is a pleasant village with a good selection of restaurants and good bus connectivity. The tourist office is helpful and English is spoken.

    We visited in mid summer as a base for walking in the mountains. It was hot and busy, but not so busy that it felt crowded or unpleasant. The nice thing about Cauterets is that one feels very much in the mountains, and indeed there are pleasant walks to do into the mountains directly from the town. It's an attractive, friendly town, with lots of bars and restaurants, cafes, a supermarket etc. We loved it.

    We visited this winter sports resort in the summer.

    We visited this winter sports resort in the summer. It was quite quiet, but the place surely comes alive in winter. The hiking trails nearby are amazing, and the town itself was very charming. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful old town center.

Very comfortable living area for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Easy key collection out of hours. Responsive staff to any queries or issues. Helpful information supplied in advance regarding the town, nearby activities and surrounding area.

    The apartment is spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Blandine, who let us in, was friendly and flexible with regard to check-in and check out times. The location is great, central yet very quiet and private. The bed is comfortable and there's plenty of hot water.
