It's a beautiful little property . Kudos to Rebecca and her team for running a tight ship . The service was par excellence . Shannon and Anique went beyond duty to make our stay comfortable . Camila was helpful at the front desk to provide for our needs

We were here for a family reunion so had 5 rooms and a table for 10 at dinner. The staff were great from check in to check out (especially Meg who was exceptional). The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Food was lovely and the staff made everything perfect. Meg was a star and even remembered our names. We will definitely come again.

Burford is a medium sized Cotswolds town - pretty, lots of places to eat and drink, local independent shops and a good place as a base to explore the wider Cotswolds area.
Burford Golf Club is very close, as is the Cotswolds Wildlife Park. Both recommended.

Burford is a great place to visit.
Burford is a great place to visit. The shops are individual and interesting and it is one of the best places for pubs with open fires in winter. It is a very attractive place with many interesting buildings. A short distance away is a wonderful garden centre.
We ate one night at the Highway Inn where we were staying and the next night at the Lamb. Good meals in both.

Beautiful place to visit, walk around, shop, eat and drink and enjoy the incredible architecture
Take your camera. There's lots to photograph.
Fantastic Garden Centre just outside is also worth a visit with lots of stores of other items and clothing. The restaurant is excellent.
The Highway Inn is well located on the High Street in Burford close to all the shops and whilst it does not have its own car park there were plenty of parking bays available outside and opposite. This was free parking overnight, although time limited during the day. All hotel staff were extremely friendly and especially kind to my dog - I felt he was very welcome in both the room and the restaurant area. I had a spacious and comfortable room on the top floor. Food in the restaurant was delicious both for dinner and breakfast.
The Hound Cottage in Burford is an exceptional period cottage, situated only a few steps away from the centre of the village. We had a brief conversation with the hosts prior to our arrival and all our questions were answered. As you would expect with a period cottage the ceilings, especially in the bathroom, are quite low so keep that in mind when booking this beautiful cottage. Burford is a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds with its stunning nature, excellent pubs and restaurants and many sights nearby.
The decor and style so beautifully decorated throughout hotel and in room.
Some staff went above and beyond and all were friendly.
The breakfast was superb
Extra touches in the room such as fresh coffee and shortbread biscuits/ music in the room on arrival and toiletries local and well picked.
Dog friendly and made to feel welcome as well as being able to eat in ybar area with our dog which was very important to us .
Loved burford so much to explore and quaint shops and cafes are a lot dog friendly.
I have stayed before and will stay again. This is a very well run friendly establishment. They think of every comfort, the bigger names fall short on, to make your stay relaxing and stress free. The beds are comfy, the food is delicious. They are right on the high street so very well situated for the town of Burford and travelling out to the Cotswold. The shower room is separate, but right opposite, so give this hotel a try, you won't be disappointed.
The location was perfect. It is very near the High Street (5 min walk), but is located on a quiet street. The back courtyard and garden is really lovely, especially at night. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant the first night and thought it was good (3 out of 4 stars). Breakfast was in the same restaurant and was very good. The restaurant staff was very good. The room had all one would need: robes, hairdryer, clothes iron, tea & coffee service, desk.
This is a cute little place that had all the enmities I expected for the price. The room was nice and clean. It's off the main street so it was really quiet. The location is great--closed to restaurants, shops, and nice walking paths like the old church on the street behind. I loved the rose garden and the delicious baked goods. I recommend the fruit scone--best I've ever had.
This property was everything we hoped it would be. Quiet, comfortable, relaxing, and a short walk into Burford. Very clean, comfortable, and easy to find. Fire was wonderful, lots of little touches like fresh milk and bread on arrival went above and beyond. Towels were fluffy, bedding perfect. I'm a light sleeper, so really appreciated the black-out curtains and silence at night.
Staff were friendly and welcoming upon arrival, during the stay and our departure.
We had breakfast on the two mornings and the quality and standard was exceptional.
The stay was very quiet though for those overlooking the rear courtyard and the beds were comfortable
Location of the Hotel for Burford is exceptional, also great access to the bus to Witney.
The Highway Inn in Burford was a pleasant surprise. We booked as a stop-off after a trip to the Lake District to get closer to London. The very small room was charming with beams and a tiny bathroom. The historic hotel has been renovated in very good style, preserving the old charm. Nice staff. Excellent breakfast with many choices!
Beautiful dreamy spot—the staff were so nice, perfect food for breakfast and dinner (so good why go anywhere else??!?)—I wish I could stay forever. Torn between wanting to give them the rave they deserve and wanting to keep it a secret place!! I will absolutely be back. Won’t ever stay anywhere else in the Cotswolds!
Staff on reception very friendly and the bar area was just what we expected from an old pub/inn with comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was tasty especially the scrambled egg and smoked salmon. Great pubs in the high street and had a wonderful meal at the Burford House Hotel in the evening.
Little! It’s possible that I’d mistaken this property for a hotel, while in reality, it was a B&B.
It was near Burford so a plus point as a base.
I felt the staff, the 2 people I saw and most likely management or owners, did try hard but operating in reduced circumstances.
The room was perfectly located with a garden view and very clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a good location with just a short walk to the centre of Burford. The restaurant staff were very accommodating and the food choice and preparation was very good.
Had dinner at the hotel, good choice on the menu, excellent dinner.
Breakfast also very good choice, had the full English, good quality bacon, sausage etc and piping hot, excellent.
Liked the location, small village but not to far from Burford, Stow etc.
Absolutely lovely Inn in a perfect location by a river and close to beautiful villages of the Cotswolds. The staff were brilliant and the food was second to none. The place was spotlessly clean and very well managed.
Everything. absolutely superb place to stay and relax. Sooo much better than a hotel in Burford and just a 10 minute walk. Log fire, beautiful kitchen, large sofas, great shower and the comfiest beds!
