We were here for a family reunion so had 5 rooms and a table for 10 at dinner. The staff were great from check in to check out (especially Meg who was exceptional). The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Food was lovely and the staff made everything perfect. Meg was a star and even remembered our names. We will definitely come again.

Burford is a medium sized Cotswolds town - pretty, lots of places to eat and drink, local independent shops and a good place as a base to explore the wider Cotswolds area.
Burford Golf Club is very close, as is the Cotswolds Wildlife Park. Both recommended.

Burford is a great place to visit.
Burford is a great place to visit. The shops are individual and interesting and it is one of the best places for pubs with open fires in winter. It is a very attractive place with many interesting buildings. A short distance away is a wonderful garden centre.
We ate one night at the Highway Inn where we were staying and the next night at the Lamb. Good meals in both.

Beautiful place to visit, walk around, shop, eat and drink and enjoy the incredible architecture
Take your camera. There's lots to photograph.
Fantastic Garden Centre just outside is also worth a visit with lots of stores of other items and clothing. The restaurant is excellent.
The location is excellent. Just note however, as a result of being on the Main Street, there is no dedicated parking and as this is the ‘Highway to the Cotswolds’ can be quite noisy at rush hour. A charming building obviously refurbished some years ago, retaining many original features. The quality of the food is locally sourced and excellent quality, and the hotel staff are absolutely lovely as were all those we met in pubs, shops and restaurants in Burford.
The location was perfect. It is very near the High Street (5 min walk), but is located on a quiet street. The back courtyard and garden is really lovely, especially at night. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant the first night and thought it was good (3 out of 4 stars). Breakfast was in the same restaurant and was very good. The restaurant staff was very good. The room had all one would need: robes, hairdryer, clothes iron, tea & coffee service, desk.
This is a cute little place that had all the enmities I expected for the price. The room was nice and clean. It's off the main street so it was really quiet. The location is great--closed to restaurants, shops, and nice walking paths like the old church on the street behind. I loved the rose garden and the delicious baked goods. I recommend the fruit scone--best I've ever had.
This property was everything we hoped it would be. Quiet, comfortable, relaxing, and a short walk into Burford. Very clean, comfortable, and easy to find. Fire was wonderful, lots of little touches like fresh milk and bread on arrival went above and beyond. Towels were fluffy, bedding perfect. I'm a light sleeper, so really appreciated the black-out curtains and silence at night.
The Highway Inn in Burford was a pleasant surprise. We booked as a stop-off after a trip to the Lake District to get closer to London. The very small room was charming with beams and a tiny bathroom. The historic hotel has been renovated in very good style, preserving the old charm. Nice staff. Excellent breakfast with many choices!
Beautiful dreamy spot—the staff were so nice, perfect food for breakfast and dinner (so good why go anywhere else??!?)—I wish I could stay forever. Torn between wanting to give them the rave they deserve and wanting to keep it a secret place!! I will absolutely be back. Won’t ever stay anywhere else in the Cotswolds!
It was a lovely cottage, well furnished and stocked with tea, coffee etc was just minutes from the shops, pubs and restaurants.
The hosts were great even rang to say we could access the property early. We also had use of their lovely private garden.
Burford is a beautiful village with lots to see and do.
The room was lovely, clean comfortable and quite , the bed was very comfortable,I ate in the bar in the evening which was delicious and then had a lovely breakfast in the morning, the hotel was handy for the main st in Burford and the staff were great , a very nice stay and I would stay there again .
MY room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was efficient and well cooked. Plenty of choice. Parking on site and just a ten minute walk downhill to Burford town centre. Easy to find and an exceptional garden centre within walking distance of the hotel.
Loved everything from this hotel. The decoration is on point, the room and bed was so comfortable, with everything you need. The hotel itself is super cute, the staff was very nice. It's well located right on the main street of Burford. I will definitely be back.
The choices of coffee and tea was excellent, probably the best we've ever had. The bed was extremely comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very good and good choice of wine. Very accessible for the shops and restaurants on Burford high street.
The hotel is in the center of Burford and is a beautiful ancient building. Poor timing on our part as the restaurant is closed for refurbishment. The menu looked great.
We would recommend the hotel, but not the top front attic room.
Absolutely lovely Inn in a perfect location by a river and close to beautiful villages of the Cotswolds. The staff were brilliant and the food was second to none. The place was spotlessly clean and very well managed.
Breakfast was excellent. Burford is quite a busy town but we were able to park easily in the Hotel Car Park which saved us a lot of stress. All hotel staff very pleasant and nothing was too much for them.
very friendly staff. Excellent location for visiting the Cotswolds and Burford was beautiful. The room was clean, light and spacious.
very dog friendly.
