Another hidden gem unlocked, this time on Crete.
Still looking like new, good location and with its "own" restaurant just across de the street. Cute employees, delivering perfect service, from checking in to serving breakfast (which, btw, was another big surprise regarding how good it was and the way it was offered) or giving direction/information about what to do in the area.
Also, I can understand a little bit of Greek, especially the "bad words", so the banter that went between them didn't go unnoticed and it was funny, especially at breakfast time.
The beach is less than 15min of walking away and the old city less than 5 minutes. The "strip" with all the bars/clubs can be reached in less than 10min, same with the supermarkets.
If you don't feel like walking to the beach, you can park yourself at the hotel's pool and relax.
The bathrooms are clean, the shower large enough, nothing is cramped. The rooms also have a small "kitchen" area, with everything one needs. Also, pretty good AC.
The restaurant is nicely decorated, on two levels and it has plenty of tables. The menu is about the same, everywhere on the island. Ate 2-3 times there, solid cooking.

We went off season which for us was perfect, I think in full season it would be rather "touristy", so if that's your bag then its a great location. Went to a number of restaurants and can say they were all excellent.

I went just as the off season begun and this was a perfect time for me. The Theo Star Beach Hotel is a great place to stay, close to everything though far enough away for a quiet relaxing stay.
The old town of Malia is a must and the food in restaurants like Milos, Avli and Zorbas is not only great value but some of the best food I had whilst island hopping from Crete to Rhodes to Kos.

We liked Malia a lot because you had so much things to do there. There was a lot of happening for younger people and for old people as well. Everyone was super nice and the prices in the restaurants were amazing. The only thing is that if you are there in July/August it could be a little to loud.

Its quite party place, but had a hotel a bit outside the city, so was very good! I would not recommend to plan Malia city as family holidays, but in our case (as we were staying a bit outside - Olympus Studious) that was great with small kid as well.
Very good food and amazing beach, clean and safe sea.

Malia is the perfect trip for anyone. You can get anything you want, from going out at the clubs to a peaceful relaxing vacation with your family. Next to this you can rent transportation on every corner on the street, have various dining possibilities (Mexican streetfood, Italian, Greek...). You can also visit other places in Crete using the very cheap public transportation system.

Great welcome at a beautiful location by a very warm team! We spent the last day of our holiday in Crete here and we couldn't have spent it at a better place. Lots of sunbeds at the nice pool area with bar and at the sea, a very trendy pergola to provide some shade to eat and have a drink. We loved the very spatious Diaz (family) room at the rooftop, very lofty atmosphere, huge terrace with nice views. A private spot to watch the sunset. We enjoyed every single minute. Big thanks to a wonderful team!
What a perfect holiday! We loved everything about it. Our room was so clean and just like on the pictures. They came to clean everyday when we left the room, and also washed the dishes. At the bar area the food and the cocktails were really delicious! And finally I would like to highlight the kindest staff ever; they asked everyday if everything is good and they were just the most happy atmosphere ever. Thank you for this lovely holiday in Crete and in Sarpidon Apartments!
This is is the place you want to be. Location perfect, parking, clean rooms, pool, great breakfast! I have never met staff so lovely and always ready to answer your question, even at 3 a.m. security guy was happy to show us all free parkings and things to see around Crete. Definitely would recommend! Also would like to thank breakfast lady which made delicious bougatsa every morning :) Would love to rate it 11/10 because they deserve it. Greetings from Slovenia
The staff were so friendly & helpful & went out of their way to show us to the bus stop when we needed help. The location was a ten minute walk away from the main street which was ideal as it was away from the noise but close enough to access. The hotel comes with access to a pool that’s two minutes away & it’s very clean and lovely. Wifi & aircon were also included which was really great as previously I’ve stayed in Malia & the hotels have charged for this.

The town of Malia is not so big and the hotel is in perfect location, 5-10 minutes walk from the old city and all the night life scene and far enough from the noises.
Rooms are very clean and comfortable.
The apartment was great, extremely comfortable and the views from the two balconies were lovely. The staff were fun, very helpful and Lula (the owner) gave us great advice regarding a restaurant in Malia Old Town and fabulous tips for our onward destination in Chania. The pool was superb and we also enjoyed swimming in the sea right in front of the hotel.
We found this gem four days before the arrival. Hotel is just perfectly placed near two main strips. Two best Malia bitches are just 6 minutes away. Host Akis was super responsive and helped us with all small issues that we faced. Our room was cleaned everyday. Breakfast has a variety of food and sweets including fruits. Pool is super big and deep.
The hotel is right on the beach, with a great view. It's a bit far from the center but we knew already and booked an ATV, about 25 euro per day, cheap and great sensation to go on the island. The hotel had a great pool and Great food, especially the salad, the staff was very nice. Room was as expected. Great place to relax.
The hotel staff were nice, breakfasts were great. Hotel is clean and safe with private place for parking car. This place is relatively close to supermarket and old Malia with cute restaurants. When you are travelling by car, this place is close to Knossos and Heraklion on one side and small sandy beaches on the other side.
The staff is beyond NICE …. Every one was so helpful and kind ! It is really well located in a calm area of Malia walking distance from beach restaurants and discotheques.

We stayed in the newly built apartments right across the main complex which is a fantastic addition to the site. Peaceful, clean, spacious with a great value for money is a must for your visit in Malia. Owners and stuff are super friendly and helpful with local hints and handy advise.

The hotel is fine, clean, rooms are pretty big and comfortable. The breakfast is simple and not too varied, but it is good, and we never missed it. Staff was friendly and generally helpful, no complaints there.
Best host in Crete. Apartment was very clean and location is perfect. 1km to city center and you cannot hear any sounds from Bar street to apartments. Beaches are quite near and everything works!
