The apartment is very clean and spacious, everything is just like on the pictures. It has two bathrooms and many balconies. It's about two minutes walking distance to the beach. Also very close to the restaurants and supermarket. The owner was great and very helpful.

Podgora is in my opinion much more pleasant for stay than Makarska, as it is easier (and cheaper) to find accommodation in the "first row to the sea" and close to the beach. Also it's a quieter, more relaxed place than Makarska

Those looking for clubbing all night - avoid. This is not the location for you, and you will look seriously out of place lying pissed after yet another drinking session with pals.

We have been to Podgora 5 times now, and we always really love it there. We are going there, as we would go home. It feels really great when we arrive, the smell of the sea, and the smell of the pine trees.
The best restaurants were Portobello Bar and Riva. We ate like 4 times at Portobello, we had our best italian food ever, even better than in Italy.

Podgora is a good sized resort on the Makarska Riviera.
Its perfect for families, kids, or couples. The main promenade along the beach has a big variety of cafes, restaurants, pizzerias, and its a nice walk overlooking the beach . Very scenic to have coffee or meals next to the sea.
On the promenade theres a Studenac supermarket, post office, shoe shop, a pharmacy, and a few beach stuff shops. Theres also a fruit market with fresh produce like peaches, and watermelon.
Our favourite spot for coffee or a drink was Banana Bar, which most nights had live music (we really liked two guys on guitars playing ballads like Eric Clapton, Pink Flloyd etc) , and they would also add tables right on the beach at night which was a nice setting.
Best food we ate was 2 Monkeys, everything on the menu was good.
They also have outdoor garden massage place in the back which looked very tranquil.
If you fancy a bit of night life you can head to nearby Makarska which is a bigger beach town and quite lively.
Podgora has loads of boat trip offers to near by islands , and some water sports like parasailing.

Great location. Still nice weather in September.. Was around 25 degrees but feel like 30 . Sea was hot and we were swimming till 6pm without feeling cold or any problems.
Area really nice, nice people, friendly, happy to help . Easy to travel around

Podgora is a bigger place at the Croatian coast near to Makarska. There are many restaurants and bars where you can eat and drink whatever you like. Many bars have so called happy hours, often twice a day. Sea food is very good but all kinds of other food, especially pizza's are available. Podgora is a typical coast place with large numbers of appartments and some hotels. Streets are narrow, which makes it difficult for cars to get around. By foot you can get around anywhere. It is interesting to visit the monument from the Second World War, The Broken Wing of a Seagull, which represents the loss of liberty. There is also a nice factory where olive oil is produced and sold.
The apartment has a great location and available parking. It is spacious and very comfortable. Its very clean and has all the amenities one might need, including washing machine. There is a nice balcony and a rooftop terrace. 2 fully equipped bathrooms so no need to queue for the toilet. Big plus for double beds in all the bedrooms.
Very aproachable and helpful hosts who give some welcome gifts and souvenirs. ;) Its a great apartment for 6 people. I would definitely recommend and would book again if Im ever back in Podgora.

top notch hotel - no expenses have been spared - quality material in airco, chairs, mattress, chairs - little frigo in room - we had a hotel room - apartment is also possible - great modern shower - all soaps and creams you can want, great pool - a bit cold depending on the weather - i guess not heated - infinity view makes it extra nice
nice town with a lot of restaurants to choose from - beach is small - beach of pebbles which in turn give us clear water up to 4-5 meters depth
Communication with the stuff was established immediately after booking, and continued all throughout the stay. We came early and our friendly host Natalia greeted us at the apartment and allowed us to park our car until apartment was cleaned and ready for us. She provided us with password for WiFi and power adopters for our phones! Apartment was very nice and clean and close to the beach. Includes the kitchenette placed on front porch entrance.
The villa has great outdoor space and pool and the rooms are all of an equal good size and generally well proportioned. Air con works well and finishing a are of a good standard. We had a few things that needed sorted on first day - more wine glasses, remotes that did not work etc, but the host did rectify these by the first evening. Parking for two cars, 8 minute drive into Podgora - unlikely you would try the 40min walk.
We had the most amazing time staying at Medora. The view from the hotel room was fantastic and the room was quiet. Beautiful beach with clean water, appreciated the complimentary sun beds and umbrella but some control if only hotel guests are using it would be helpful. Lovely food and great choice. Our daughter appreciated the animation team and she spent a lot of time with them. Would definitely come again.
Beautiful, clean and comfortably furnished apartment. A very nice owner with a lovely dog. Two cute turtles on the terrace were a surprise and a great joy for the children :) My whole family came back from Podgora very rested and satisfied with the actively spent time there (snorkeling, swimming and necessarily sightseeing: Omis, Baska-Voda, Biokovo, Makarska)
Spacious apartment, very clean, with a fantastic view from the terrace. We were warmly welcomed by the owners. Even though the apartments are located next to the main road, it was very quiet. We enjoyed Podgora very much, and the various pebble beaches it offers.
We could park the car inside and did not use it for 5 days, which was exactly what we hoped!
Great apartment! Perfect spacious spotless apartment with stunning view. Owner of the apartment was the kindest welcoming person who was always willing to help, she even told us to stay beyond check out time last day, as long as we want. Everything is clean, apartment is even better than on photos at booking page. We will definitely come back.
The location was close to the beach, although you have to descend around 100 stairs to reach it. Even though the location is near the main road that crosses Podgora, it's not too noisy. The owners are the cutest couple i ever met. They were very helpful and chatty. All in all, in was the perfect apartment for our 8 day stay.
Great location with a beautiful view from the terrace. Beaches (which are beautiful and not overcrowded) and the center of Podgora are just a few minutes walk from the apartment. The apartment looks pretty old, but it has its vintage (Mediterranean) charm. We had everything that we needed.
One of the best bookings I was on. Peter - the host was super nice to us, the room was really clean and new, parking was near. I really recommend Villa Joy for a couple!
Also, the Podgora and the whole Makarska Riviera is in my opinion the most beautiful part of Croatia.
Very good location — close to all the most important things in Podgora and yet quite quiet.
The room is small but has almost everything you need. For a couple of hours awake and for a night's sleep it is quite enough. Parking is just perfect.
This is a beautiful area to stay and the mobil homes with private pool are well set up, comfortable and have gorgeous views. There are bikes provided and access to the hotel facilities. it’s a short walk to the beach and many restaurants.
Amazing location with brilliant service, the family running were very helpful! Podgora is an amazing town, with a resort feel, but easy to get away into more secluded areas if that’s not your thing.
The location was perfect right on the main street with the Podgora community and tourists walking past, and there was a lovely courtyard between the apartment and street which gave privacy.
