A very nice hotel just off a main road in Giarre. I was visiting cousins in the area and this hotel was very convenient for them to meet me. A very beautiful restoration of an old farmhouse. Great views of Etna in the distance. The grounds are very park-like and there is plenty of free parking. The dinner restaurant on the hotel property was great. Although there was an additional charge, breakfast was very good and well worth it.

Enjoyed our stay at Zash, room was beautiful and very modern and unique which is why I booked at Zash. The setting is beautiful with orange orchard surrounding the hotel and our room. Pool is very nice also. Make a point to eat at the restaurant, the food was excellent! The free breakfast is delicious too, no surprise as it is coming out of a michelin star kitchen.

It is a nice location with a terrace from where you can see the Etna if is not cloudy. The host, Giovanni is very nice and made our stay more comfortable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at B&B CasAnsaldo and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful and well-maintained property. The owner, Antonio, was warm and welcoming, and he made me feel right at home.
The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of amenities. The attention to detail was evident in every corner of the B&B, from the tasteful decor to the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and complimentary toiletries.
But what really set B&B CasAnsaldo apart was the exceptional service provided by Antonio. Giarre is not a great tourist attraction. However it is a great center for touring East Sicily.
We found it very strange that Sicilians keep to their siesta even in winter. After sunset when it got very dark and a bit cold, we did not feel like going to a restaurant (they open at 6 or 7). So we cooked our dinners. Good for us, bad for them.

Giarre is a nice town, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of Etna (it happers like the best side to look at it), you are just around the corner from Taormina and Catania and you can easily access the sea by car.

On the other hand, it mightbe idea for anyone looking for a quiet place out of the way to spend a few days doing nothing. Our place had a pool (against separate payment which we found odd as we were never asked to pay elswhere. Pool was open to kids so be aware of this.

Nice base if you would like to visit the Etna. Also the coast is not far away and with half an hour with scooter you're in Giardini Naxos (which is also recommended if you like a fishers/seaside town with a nice beach).
We stayed over at Giarre the days after we came from Catania to travel further to Taormina. Giarre itself doesn't have much to offer for tourists, but it's nice to see the more local center with less tourism and less traffic. We stayed at Moni Rooms for two nights which I would recommend to everyone who wants to visit Giarre!
Large appartement with very spacious rooms with homelike atmosphere. Super clean and tidy. Nice garden with astonishing view of Etna volcano. Prepared refreshment (fruits, sweets, ice cream) at the arrival. Friendly and helpful landlady.
Excellent location for discovering Sicily. Close to highway with short drive to Taormina, Catania, Syracuse and Etna volcano. Nice pebble beaches within 15 – 20 minute drive (car is necessary). Outside busy touristic areas where you will experience authentic Sicilian atmosphere.
Everything was excelent and even better than we expect. Host was really nice and kind. Refreshed few times all staff in refrigerator as water, ice tea etc. Also prepared surprice traditional cannoli rolls and offered us Limoncelo from his own until ours was cold enough. Also on breakfast he served us what we choose. Really nice bonus was access to the roof terrace with view on the see and Etna volcano. We can only recommed to others who wants to visit Giarre for good price and perfect service.

Breakfast was good overall, although there could have been some more hot foods. The homemade yoghurt was really good as were the croissants. We especially liked the help we got from the very friendly staff both before and during our stay. They speak English quite well and that was another bonus. The hotel is comprised of a very old historic and pleasant building and all rooms have their separate entrances onto the common areas.
It is set in a beautiful area in the country side. Has a wonderful restaurant on site which was very busy on our night stay (a Saturday night in July) however the food was delicous and the views and atmosphere were just perfect. Turned out to be one of our favorite stops while in Sicily - would definetly return and recommed. Parking on site, just a few steps away from the room. Breakfast was a nice buffet selection.

This was the nicest place I stayed in during my two weeks trip around Sicily. The place is so beautiful, modern peaceful and clean. It has everything you need to have a great time.
We had two balconies, sea view, access to washing machine… It’s half an hour drive from many hot spots like Taormina, Giardini di Naxos, Catania etc.
Antonio is a super host. Very responsive and caring. The apartment is very spacious with high ceilings and freshly renovated. Super nice bathroom with big shower and bidet. Absolutely recommendable. Giarre is a perfect spot as a base for tours around Etna, the coastline and crowded Toarmina. I would come here again 👍
Good location at the base of Etna close to Giarre. It’s a lovely rustic farmhouse. The room was very spacious for our family of 4, two singles downstairs and a queen upstairs on the the mezzanine. It’s a relaxing place set amongst orchards of fruit trees. Breakfast was delicious including Lorenzo’s homemade jams.
Everything was perfect: the support from Francesco giving us lots of recommendations, the location (with a really beautiful view of Etna), the facilities (lovely and modern apartment), very confortable and I would definitely choose it again in my next visit to Sicily.
It's a spacious apartment, with nicely equipped kitchen. Location is very good if you land in Catania and want to visit eastern Sicily. It was also nice that there was enough toilet paper, clean towels and also bed sheets. The host was very friendly and caring.
Beautiful room in Jugend style. Garden with orange blossom. Very easy check in with personal friendly manager. We highly recommend to stay here if you want to take the Circumetnaea railway from Giarre . The town is not touristy but very Sicilian
The location is excellent. Very quiet neighbourhood, absolutely safe within a residence called Kallipoli. Still, just a few minutes from the center of Giarre, and very close to the best touristic attractions (Taormina, Etna, etc.)
The host was really friendly and helpful. It was easy to communicate with despite the lack of a common language. Everything was clean and the kitchen was fully equipped. So far the best accommodation in Sicily.
Everything was excellent at this hotel. Food and dining was amazing, staff were friendly and excellent and facilities were good, especially the spa and pool!
