the location was easy to find as you just get off of the ferry, but there isn’t many food options close by so you will have to walk or take a taxi to dinner if you don’t want to eat dinner at the hotel.

Location right in front of Angel Road gave us exclusive access to the picturesque spot. Gift shop on site was very well stocked. Public bath was very well maintained, good bathroom amenities. Also nice picture spots in the property. Staff spoke excellent English. Shuttle service very good.
We went there for Setouchi Triennale 2019. Two art instalations are located at the Tonosho port. The town is more happening than other parts of Shodoshima, many buses from the Tonosho port to different regions. A good base/location to stay if travelling on Shodoshima.

Shodoshima Island is very beautiful; the beauty of Setouchi will remain with me forever. We especially enjoyed touring a soy sauce factory (Yamaroku) and doing a sake tasting at Morikuni sake brewery. It’s a bit off the beaten path but well-worth the effort to get there.
