Our stay at Takad Dream Rural was nothing like we expected. We made a mistake while booking and ended up here. At first we were a little upset to be staying far from the city center or the Medina. However, this ended up being one of our highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the family greeted us and welcomed us as if we were a part of their family. They were so kind, unbelievably generous, and gave us the most wonderful opportunity to experience day-to-day Moroccan life and culture. They cooked big, family-sized meals and sat around the table talking with us for hours. Since they did not speak much English or Spanish, we relied on google translate for much of our conversations and taught each other a little bit of each of our languages. They gave us bicycles to ride down to the nearest beach, to see more of their town, and to find some yummy food. They even taught me how to make tajine and cous cous! They were attentive to us at all hours of the day, always making sure we felt welcome. We learned so much about Morocco and their warm, welcoming culture while we were here and cannot thank our Takad family enough for giving us that experience.
We loved our stay so much here and made some true life-long friends. We will absolutely be back to stay here again!
