Taghazout is magical, small, quiet but not boring... Great for travelling alone, with friends or for a romantic getaway! The views from almost anywhere are amazing and there are suprises all around (eg. the skate park upon the hill with amazing panoramic views). Good value for money and amazing hospitality!
The city might have been charming once, but right now it looks like a mix of a building site and a village from the 30’s. No roads, only muddy trails, no supermarket, no ATM, wild cats and dogs and old cars crisscrossing the narrow streets. Only place to walk/run is along the water, but on one site you got hotel construction sites en masse and on the other you got the beaches, that are generally littered with bottles and old plastic furniture - so not exactly scenic. Also, there’s wild dogs straying around, occasionally chasing you. There’s no way to get out of town without a car, so you can’t do much but surf, and if it’s been raining, the water might be too polluted to go in, leaving you absolutely stuck. We also caught a bout of food poisoning in our first day, and that was from eating in one of the more “touristy” places that seemed to have a handle on hygiene. But I guess not. Generally, we don’t think the representation of Taghazout as a charming surfer’s village is anywhere near true. At least not if you thought that meant something like what you get for the same description in i.e. Portugal.
During the surf season, Taghazout is the place where to go if you're looking for peace of mind and warm weather while enjoying the waves. I highly recommend planning your trip before arriving there, because it saves a lot of money and time, which you gonna need to enjoy your holiday.
Place is nice to go to beach for some activities, but in the evening, there is not much you can do....swimming pool is too small. Food is ok. House furniture are uncomfortable. Too much boredom in the evening!

Great seaview, good location in Taghazout. About 1 hour drive from Agadir, a bit more from Agadir Airport. Walking distance to village center and Anchor Point. Top appartments have a rooftop terrace with views over town and towards Anchor Point. Great place to check the incoming swell for surfers or enjoy the view. Village has ample shops for groceries and restaurants for lunch/dinner. Staff is always available and helpful. Towels, toiletpaper, trashbags are provided.

It was truly a great place to stay in Taghazout. This amazing family, especially the women, woke up at 4 am before our flight to serve us breakfast. Incredible women who serves incredible breakfast. One of the cleanest place from our 3 weeks we stayed in Morocco with a great view over the beach and ocean from the terrace and living room. Karim is a very kind and nice man who where always there to help! It’s truly a great value and memory.

The highlight of my stay was the energetic staff. The were so helpful throughout my stay and greeted me with enthusiasm when I checked in- and -out of the hostel. I highly recommend the paradise valley tour and the small desert. The location is excellent close to everything ( cute shops, restaurants) and 3min walking to the beach. The breakfast was really good. Highly recommend and very affordable.

You will feel that you are in your best friends home. Mohamed is the best host in Taghazout, he helps with everything that you need. Breakfast is quite delicious; for sure, the best in the village. My first plan was to be there just one night due to there were not good waves, and I prolonged my stay one week. I gonna come back, for sure!

The place and the view is awesome! Room hotel comfortwble However. The toilet brush was needed. The food inside the hotel is not that good nor fresh and service looks amateur. I recommend you to eat from the pool bar, food there didn't make my mother nor I sick.

Loved my time here. Staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable and rooms cosy. The location was amazing as it was just a minute to the beach but a block back from the main strip so it was really quiet and you don’t get woken up by the fisherman at 5am each morning.

Nice personnel, clean rooms with beautiful view, cleanest hostel i’ve been too in Morocco. I’m allergic to eggs. So for breakfast, upon request, they made me some delicious porridge with fruits.
