My first association about st. Nicolas Pension that we have stayed in is: «Eden». When arrived, I’ve kindly asked the guys to show some nicer room, and oh they did. The guys also gave the vase with an ice for our flowers. The room was just the required size for me and my girl, and we had great time spending the evenings at the terrace. We were siting under the olive tree, having lemons and pomegranate trees around us and picturesque view on the mountain in front of us which lighted playful colours at night. This was a great background for being there together. Overall it a great time was we’ve spent most of the time outside, and the little surprise was the loud voice of prayer in the morning. The breakfast was quite well nourishing. And I liked curtains and flowers around restaurant. In the picture's there're moment from a one video (a beautiful sunset and the other room where my father had his room), didn't have time to take any photos, enjoyed the moment. As it was I first two nights we’ve spent in the Turkey It remained as pleasing and memorable.

Visited a couple of times before. Village restaurants not so good as previously. Simbar charging more than in Kalkan for cocktails! Village generally very quiet this time, no buzz, however first time visiting in Sept, which may account for this. Bus timetable not worth publishing as they come when they want and don't always go to the bus station.

Despite its popularity, Patara remains a traditional Turkish village. This is because it is protected for both archaeological and nature reasons. Turtles nest here. We visit regularly. It is all accessible on foot but if it's very hot or you have trouble walking any distance, it is best to get the dolmus to the beach. Yes, you have to pay to enter the beach but this is because it is part of an archaeological site. The beach was very, very crowded on a hot summer weekend (avoid in high season if you don't like crowds) but it is so long it's easy to find space to sit and swim. Patara is very convenient for visits to other sites like Xanthos and Letoon.

Patara must be the one of the most perfect holiday destinations. An enormous, world class beach which means it is never crowded.
In addition you walk past or through the excavated Lycian and Roman ruins of the ancient port city - amazing!
And, of course, the wonderful generosity and good nature of the locals.

The village was small and very chilled with no hassle.
The village was small and very chilled with no hassle. I'm a single Mum and went with my 11 year old daughter and it was such a safe environment. The people were really helpful and friendly. It actually reminded me a bit of Guatemala, bit of a hippy laid back vibe, no McDonalds etc in sight! The beach was amazing, great waves for body boarding and miles of golden sand with only one beach restaurant, so unspoilt! Surrounded by ruins and a laying ground for turtles has ensured Patara beach isn't flooded with shops, beach bars etc, so 10 miles of loveliness. Best beach I've ever been to in Europe easily... Food in Patara is really affordable, booze a bit more (Muslim country) but fine. Some restaurants don't sell booze but plenty do! Spent so much less this holiday than in Greece. I never usually go to the same place twice but would seriously consider returning to Patara. Loved it!
Kazem and Ayse have created a very friendly atmosphere during our stay and have helped us with many valuable tips. The room was very spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Also the cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom which is equipped with a shower cabin, was outstanding. The breakfast comes with hearty and sweet options and includes homemade or homegrown products. The hosts were really flexible with breakfast times. If you are too lazy to go to the beach, you can relax at the pretty pool.
The view from the balcony is really nice, towards the mountains and a town below. The garden of the hotel is really beautiful, full of various plants that create a really cozy atmosphere of the place. Another plus is that the breakfast terrace is located just above the garden, so you can enjoy this nice place even more. The breakfast is good, one of the few hotels I've visited in Turkey that serve delicious cookies :)
The hotel is quiet, with very friendly staff, tasty breakfasts and dinners. I will definitely recommend it to my friends. It is a bit far from the Dune but they organize the transfer to the beach practically whenever you want to. We asked for a late check out and were provided it without additional surcharge.
Everybody was nice, willing to help, English speaking 👍.
A family run business with helpful staff. The breakfast was rather plane and the balcony was nice. Patarra beach was rather far from the property, but well worth a visit. It was, by far the best beach we visited, as it was sandy, empty of tourists, close to some ruins, and generally ideal except for the long and arduous walk required to get to the water.
Great location in a small town near Patara beach and dunes. We liked the breakfast very much and the terrace where it was served is beautiful. Markets and restaurants are very close and offer good prices. There is a fridge and kettle on the first floor if you need it. Free and fast wifi, laundry service for a reasonable fee.
We stayed at the Dardanos Hotel for x3 nights and couldn’t fault the hotel. Arif was such an accommodating host, happy to spend time to recommend things to do or places to go, and went out of his way to help you organise things. Swimming pool area was great, rooms were a decent size and clean, and breakfast was great.
This was our favorite place to stay in Turkey. The couple that run it are so warm and giving. The location is perfect, nature all around and a great beach 10 minutes away. The town has everything you need great restaurants and very friendly locals! The room and property are great and watch out the dog steals hearts….!
The two best aspects were;
1. The staff - absolutely fantastic! An asset to this hotel, from the front desk to to the housekeeper.. all hard working and very helpful and obliging. A special thank you to Tulay and Ilkay Basak. You made our stay memorable.
2
The pool. A lovely large pool in a lovelu setting.
We have been coming for many years to this beautifully relaxing hotel. The staff are so attentive in the same way as you would find in a 5* hotel . The buffet breakfast is wonderful with fresh, local produce. The pool is perfect and the hammocks are especially relaxing in the cool shade.
Great Hotel. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean and the staff super helpful. The location is great for Patara beach amd exploring the surroundings. Breakfast was served on the patio and was delicious. The room was clean and had everything one needs.
Very relaxed and peaceful in the mids of olive groves, after the chaos of Oludeniz a very welcome change. Nice pool, great vistas, right next to the ancient Patara archaeological site. Simple yet satisfying breakfast with home made fruit jams, olives, fresh bread and veggies
We stay at this hotel every time we visit Patara. We have become friends with the extraordinarily helpful family who run it. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants to stay in a friendly, family run hotel. The food is excellent as well!
The only moment we were satisfied with our holiday was Patara beach. I would like to say this for those who do not know; Since Patara beach is a historical place, beach entrance and sunbeds / umbrellas are always charged.
I liked how well equipped and clean it was. They also have the best Turkish breakfast I have ever had (I've had a lot). The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. I would stay here again in the future.
It is a nice and cosy place run by a friendly family. Food was good and in large portions. The hotel is right next to the main road, so it easy to reach and there was not much noise. The room/hotel was clean.
The host is German, who can speak good English. The pool is very clean and warm, overlooking the valley. It is in Patara town, convenient to visit both Patara ancient city and the beach.
