Hotels that guests love in Detroit

  • Everything. I did prefer the room I had on my last stay more, but I love the suites. Generously sized. Excellent use of space, giving the comfort of a home setting . Great room service .Don't want to park for an event, eat, drink and drive? No problem, The Atheneum's (exclusive) shuttle service will drop you off and come fetch you after. Even if it was not the best value luxury stay in downtown Detroit , i choose it over all others!

  • WHen we checked in my spouse is handicap & the staff made sure that we were comfortable. The hotel is amazing we love the fact that it sit right off the water so our river view room made every night romantic..The food & drunk were also great...I will definitely stay again when we are in the area

  • The location of the hotel is great...saw two ballgames and spent a couple of days just walking around downtown Detroit and enjoying the great architecture that the city has to offer. Our room was very clean, spacious (had a junior suite) and comfortable even though the bed did slope to the middle. The staff was very friendly and eager to help! The food in the restaurant/bar was very good and the service was great!

  • The location was great for visiting the Detroit Institute of Arts. There are not many nice hotels in this area. They got us a cab for the ball game and were there to welcome us back upon our return It was clean and safe. The history of the place interesting. Everything worked--didn't care whether flat screen TV or not. Oh, and Starbucks coffee in the room so much better than the norm

Viking Motel Disappointing 4.2 The price and location! Room was gross. Dead roach, cigarette butts in the drawer and some crack attacks in the parking lot. Only 1 towel, no shampoo just dirty dirty dirty. But for $55 you get what ya pay for.
