Room was easy to access, plentiful parking, excellent access to downtown shops/restaurants and the highway -- but located off the highway so location/room is quiet. They have made some upgrades to flooring, etc. They also have korean takeout available -- the food is amazing and always a highlight of my visits to La Junta and I always enjoy ordering this food when I stay at Midtown Inn. They also accommodated my request for a slightly later checkout -- thank you so much!

We enjoyed the fair in Rocky Ford.

We enjoyed the fair in Rocky Ford. Bought a bunch of produce to can. Went to the fort, and walked the town including around the park. We ate at Felisa's Mexican Food the people and food were wonderful.

The room was dirty stuff left from previous guest.

The room was dirty stuff left from previous guest. Towels were so thin they were shredding apart. Smoke detector was not plugged in and working. The door to the bathroom stuck so bad you had to be careful not to get hit when trying to open it. It was cheap so don't expect much.

Not much to do in La Junta.

Not much to do in La Junta. Restaurant choices very limited, and town does not have much to offer. Surroundings however are beautiful if you are into hiking - the National Comanche Grassland is fascinating. Photo of Purgatoire River near the dinosaur's tracks (a gruesome 12 miles trek!). Plenty of tarantulas looking for love!

My stay here was just a 1 night layover on the way to my destination. Didn't see or hear of much of a reason to use it for more than just a place to rest my head before I headed to my next destination.

I grew up in Las Animas, graduated from High School in Las Animas, many, many years ago. I always feel very safe staying at the Hampton Inn. I have stayed there many times since it opened. My only suggestion, please have the cleaning people check and, if needed, vacuum behind the chair in the double queen rooms where the lamp is located.

Upon arrival the staff were lovely and polite. Room was comfortable and the location was great - Walmart just down the road and La Junta downtown was only a few minutes away with great food options. We left early in the morning but the staff offered us the breakfast to go. Good selection of items (as a hiker I loved the hard boiled eggs option that was in the fridge). Would stay here again.

This is a clean older hotel. I served my purpose well. It happened that I accidentally booked 2 rooms - instead of just one, and the front desk person worked with me to transfer the room to a friend of a friend who did not have a room booked. The clerk was careful to protect me as well as help others…. I would say she went the extra mile to help! I will be back!

We open the door and leave, we find I just opened the door and saw mice in the room, I turned around and went to find a hotel, what they show on the internet page is not what I found in that small room, apart from the dirtiness of sleeping among mice, no, don't even ask. I lost my money I just left 😥😥

The staff was super nice and helpful! The hotel was easy to get to and close to several restaurants. Breakfast was good and parking was close and well lit. I felt safer there than some other hotels.

I liked the fact that even though the hotel was going through major renovations, the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome.
