Bison Plains Lodge, hotel in Moorhead

Located in Moorhead, 3.6 miles from Fargo Civic Center, Bison Plains Lodge has accommodations with a fitness center, free private parking and a shared lounge.

Your breakfast was very good your juice machine was out of order which was disappointing but everything else was good. The room would have been to small if a lot of people came down to eat. At our time we were the only ones that didn’t take breakfast back to the room

The Biltmore Hotel & Suites Main Avenue, hotel in Moorhead

Just off Interstate 29 and less than 3 miles from Fargo city center, this hotel features guest rooms with cable TVs and free Wi-Fi. A complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning.

We stayed for one night but I wished we could have stayed longer. The indoor and outdoor pool options were great. The outside space with pool and park-like vibe in the center of the square building gives a “campus” vibe. Very neat! The staff was so friendly! I also liked that there was a map to show access points and rear parking closer to our hotel room. I loved the attached bar and was jealous I didn’t get to join in on karaoke (had to be up early). I wondered how the noise level would be but even with a karaoke bar and an adult prom with loud music, we heard nothing once in the room.

We were in town one night for a hockey tournament and this location was perfect for the rink only a few minutes away. The room was nice, bright and cozy - Staff were friendly - Breakfast was great. There was even a little gym and sauna on the main floor. Price was unbeatable.

We rented a shelter in Gooseberry Park. Be sure to bring along your contract if you need to call for help. The electricity did not work. Otherwise the park is nice, along the river, with restrooms and a great playground. Love visiting the Hjemkomst Museum. Great bike trails.

Moorhead is walkable particularly about the Red River and cute downtown. There are lovely tree line streets, a bike path, the Red River to view (flows north!), the Vik stave church, lovely museums, Concordia College campus, and readily available bus lines. Check it out! If you walk and take the bus there you can also save the air quality for everyone to breathe easier.

One could not find a more perfect place to stay.

One could not find a more perfect place to stay. Staff is quietly working behind the desk. Your requests are met immediately. It is interesting...for such a neat hotel....one never sees people working all over the place....it is like walking into your home. And for 3 days it was our home.

The medical facilities are superior. Hard to get around.

The medical facilities are superior. Hard to get around. No fine dining - Red Lobster the best in Fargo. Advertising is nonexistent, so don't rely on any reviews, more than likely they are not recent or placed by owners or employees.. Zoo and museums are nice, but hard to locate and find out hours open prior to going there.

We were here for my daughter's college graduation. It is about 4 hours from where we live currently so it is a distance. However, we really like the Fargo/Moorhead area and enjoy our stay when we make it up that far. Great breweries and restaurants.

Location was close to a Mexican food restaurant; simply walked across street. Can reach hotel by bus, particularly during the week. Bus is a great way to meet local people! I walked to Fargo, ND one mile north and west, to take Jefferson Bus to northern Minnesota...excellent service at Bus station! Also, Vik Stave church is in Moorhead as is Concordia College. Grand Hotel was clean, clean water, toilet, tub and bed. What more do you need! I wanted inexpensive value, and that is what I received at the Grand Hotel.

You could tell that the hotel was rescued by new management. There were a lot of things upgraded, mostly in the common areas. The continental breakfast exceeded my expectations. It was well stocked with many options. Newer A/C units in the rooms were very nice, as were the lights, art, TVs and controllers.

I chose this location since it's the closest hotel to my house. I rented it for my mother, sister and niece to stay in. My niece is two years old so she really enjoyed the shallow pool. Customer service was adequate, we didn't really react with them though, just the initial check-in and he was kind.
