Enjoyable city for a long weekend. Nice restaurant selection although a number of them seem to close early. Great array of history and things to do. A very accessible city. St Paul only a short train ride away.
Was visiting for a specific event (Basketball games), so not much time for sightseeing. Did go to Mall of America and a casino, but not much else. Many of the key "attractions" were outdoors and the weather was a bit too cold and rainy for exploring the river and related sights. Even the locals didn't have much to offer by way of recommendations. I enjoyed the variety and quality of the restaurants.
Minepaolis is a gr8 place. There are gr8 shopping malls at Nicolett and the mall of America within a 15min walk or 20kin train journey respectively. The mississipi River is amazing to see and cross over on the bridge.
We took the Blue Line train from the airport to Nicollet Mall which was very easy, and the buses downtown are free. Nicollet area skyway was helpful with seven degree March temps. Restaurants near Residence Inn we visited were the Union rooftop, Britt's, Barrio, The Lyons Club, Mortimers, Global Market, Hells Kitchen and Rock Bottom (cue UFO song) Brewery. Much fun! Sometime Spring or Autumn I'll go back...
Expected more from this city. Highways run through the city, the downtown area seems a bit past its glorious times. Everything is far apart. Clearly, the cold and rainy weather did not help. We had pretty good food though. The arts institute museum is phenomenal and free. Wow!! Ha, and there is of course also that crazy Mall of America!
TWolfgang To whom it may concern,my wife and I booked a room here with expectations of having jovial stay. Tragically it was s. tifeld by the unprofessional service provided by house keeping i.e. we requested that our lining and towels be changed from the first request to the completion of the task the time lasp was over an hour documented by the second shift manager Merky. He was wonderful and continuously assisted our humble request! From start to finish I spoke to him several times via phone and twice face to face again subtracting from the promised enjoyment. My wife was delayed from a timely bath in which she medicinal bath in cocoa butter oil (essential treatment) stuffing uncomfortable irritation compounded with the venomous words from housekeeping witch left her in a soloem down troting mood. Please address this situation with adequate compensation WE HUMBLE IMPLORE.t
Property was easy to get to, very clean and nice. Loved the couch in the room. All of the staff was very helpful and nice. Honestly, I would say that it was the best staff I’ve ever had at a hotel. My friend and I came down for a night in the cities and weren’t familiar with the area or any of the hotels. If I ever make another trip, I will definitely stay here again!
The room was beautiful. We had a really great view of downtown Minneapolis too. The location was perfect. The staff was also very friendly. We loved how the hotel is attached to a network of different amenities so when it was super cold out, we did not have to leave the building. Also, being able to text the room service staff was a great perk!
Great location, walking distance to lots of downtown attractions, restaurants and bars. There's a Nice Ride (the city bicycle-share) bike rack right outside the front door, so good for going further afield - Minneapolis has very good cycle infrastucture by North American standards so it's easy to get around.
It was nice the hotel itself was on high floors to avoid the noise of the city. Parking garage was attached to the building so that’s the cheapest I’ve ever paid for parking downtown. Also rooms were fantastic and quiet! Best night sleep I’ve gotten in a hotel in a long time.
Breakfast was really good compared to other places. The hotel was excellent. The day staff are so welcoming and friendly they have positive attitudes and are so accommodating. They do not clean the rooms daily but whenever you need stuff they will bring it to you.
The other reviewers were right - the location is amazing. Right next to the train, close to great little student restaurants, and a short metro ride away from everything! The room was amazing, the hotel itself it beautifully decorated and the staff were great.
Excellent stay here. Very nice staff on reception. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Restaurant and bar were great. Attentive staff.Food was always hot. We will use this hotel again as it was perfectly placed for our needs.
I've been raving to people about the hotel and how great it is since my arrival. I was blown away by everything. It will definitely be my place to stay whenever I'm in Minneapolis from now on. Thank you for everything.
The hotel and room exceeded my expectations! The hotel was centrally located downtown. Would highly recommend and will booking again in the near future. The one bedroom suite was worth totally worth it!
Conveniently located just 5 miles from the city center, this is a superb hotel, with friendly staff, great services, clean and comfortable. Will highly recommend to anyone passing through Minneapolis.
Parking space right under the hotel. With a daily pass to go in and out at any time of the day. Pretty pricey 32 a day however good for downtown minneapolis.
Quiet hotel, nice staff, great location OUT of Minneapolis (slightly lower taxes, but not by much), great parking/ accessibility.
We enjoyed so much! I have 2 toy poodles with me and they were comfy the whole stay! I love how pet friendly this hotel 😊
Beautiful hotel wonderful breakfast far exceeding continental! So close to target field and great restaurants and bars!
