Wyndham Garden San Diego Pleasant 6.9 The price was an awesome value for the stay! Close to everything in San Diego, Airport, Gaslamp District, Sea World, Convention Center. The staff was friendly and responded quickly to requests. Rooms were clean and tidy.
Hotel del Coronado Very good 8.2 Location is convenient for beach & restaurants and staff were very nice - rooms are spacious
Days Hotel San Diego - Hotel Circle / near Sea World Good 7.7 Room was clean, comfortable. Wash the glasses before you drink - Maids were pleasant, but the restaurant was incredible. Bunz, I believe was the name and if you like a great Ceasar Salad and a Gourmet Burger, this is your place. Pleasant and intimate pool area in the back of the property which removed the sounds of the freeway pretty effectively.
Porto Vista Hotel Good 7.5 Very helpful staff (early check-in was possible as well as storage of my luggage on departure day), good location in Little Italy with a lot of nice shops and restaurants around; close to SAN airport, computer with internet access and printer in the hotel lobby
Surfer Beach Hotel Good 7.5 Super view, super waves, super girls on the beach
Tower 23 Hotel Superb 9

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego Fabulous 8.9 Excellent service and facility in the hotel, including such a nice breakfast and room condition ! Live in a seaport side can watch the US Navy Museum. I recommend more friend to live in ! Not a very high price for living !
Bahia Resort Hotel Very good 8.3 amazing place and relax I relly like it
Hard Rock Hotel San Diego Very good 8.3 Just great facilities and location for a business travler.
La Jolla Cove Suites Good 7.9 Large suite, very clean with spacious balcony. Great place for longer vacation – we stayed 10 nights. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The view (ocean, palm trees and sea lions) is unforgettable. The sunset looks like on a tropical island and you can see it sitting on your balcony. Breakfast is much more then continental. I highly recommend staying at La Jolla Cove Suites and for sure will stop there again.
La Jolla Shores Hotel Very good 8.1 location on the beach and beach view
Pacific Terrace Hotel Superb 9 Perfect beach hotel. Central location in Pacific beach. Large comfortable rooms with exceptional view from the balcony. Nice pool area. Very good price to performance ratio. Easy parking access with valet available.
Wyndham San Diego Bayside Very good 8 Great shower & bathroom. Pool looked very inviting but I got there too late and tired to use it. Would have liked to stay another night. Did not use the wifi much or eat breakfast.

    The Art of Easy Living

Sweeping along the coast against a mountain backdrop, San Diego has easy living down to a fine art. Its wonderful beaches and mild climate make it a favourite spring break destination, and with over 40 city breweries, there are plenty of ice cold beers to set the mood.

The city’s most recognisable landmark is the Hotel del Coronado, a wooden Victorian beach resort, now a National Historic Landmark. The original Spanish mission, the first in California, has been relocated to the Mission Valley area, and Old Town San Diego still has many Colonial buildings and quirky shops. Also great for shopping are Horton Plaza and the boutiques in the beachfront neighbourhoods.

The city’s most famous attraction is its zoo in Balboa Park, a few blocks from San Diego International Airport. One of the world’s largest zoos, it is well worth a visit, as is the fantastic SeaWorld, home to several killer whales. To see wildlife in its natural habitat head to La Jolla beach where harbour seals rest, or watch whales in season from Point Loma Lighthouse.

Just over the border from Mexico’s Tijuana, San Diego has a distinctly Latin American vibe and a variety of accommodation encompassing apartments, motels, B&Bs and hotels. See Booking.com for the best deals.

Hotels that guests love in San Diego

    • Very well placed, close to harbour and the Gaslamp Quarter. Tramlines nearby for access to greater San Diego. All the amenities you would expect from a hotel of this standard and at this price. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Good sized rooms and a fantastic view from almost all rooms.

    • You con walk in downtown san Diego quite well from the hotel. The gaslamp quarter is really close and worth seeing. It's very close to highway 5 so it's a good starting point to visit places outside downtown

    • Hotel situation even it's not close to the downtown is well communicated so in just 10 minutes you can reach Gaslamp street.

    • Friendly personel, large room, clean, efficient airco, quiet even while in the vicinity of I-8. Mind you, every hotel on Hotel Circle South or North is lining the I-8. Restaurants on site: one is Mexican which gives you a 15% discount if you stay at the King's Inn; the other The Waffle Spot which gives you 10%.

    • It's of course not exclusive hotel, but we had a nice stay. Good strategic location to discover all of San Diego, if you can't decide whether to stay at the beach or in San Diego downtown. By foot it's quite close to the Old Town. 10 minutes walk. Also to the bus station and train station. Some diners and a supermarket around. Staff was very friendly. Free coffee. Silent neighbourhood. Instantly the repaired the broken water tap.
