This 6 bedroom resort is lakefront and very quiet and relaxing. Built in the 60s, it’s recently been purchased by the granddaughter of the original owner. Chauncey and her team took over 2 weeks before our visit and are working hard to make the lodge a destination retreat; it would be great for reunions or small weddings. The dining room wasn’t officially open but Chef Michelle cooked a terrific dinner just for the three of us so we wouldn’t have to drive to the nearest town. We sat lakeside and sipped wine, watching osprey and an eagle. There were lions in the morning. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and can’t say enough about the great service. We’ll be back

we arrived a day early .The manager at the orginal hotel we booked gave us a suite at there sister hotel for the orginal price we paid for the 1st room.She was more than helpful went way beyond her duty as a manger.We highly recommend the archrage hotel in bar harbor me .
