    I grew up in a small farming town 10 miles out of Rapids.

    I grew up in a small farming town 10 miles out of Rapids. I didn't do any site seeing or looking for a great restaurant. This was a return visit for family every year. Rapids is easy to get around. It has many historical places to go.

    The town is spread out a lot more than I thought.

    The town is spread out a lot more than I thought. I was pretty dependent upon my gps to get me around. This was not an issue since the purpose of my trip was to spend all three days at the kennels where the seminar took place.

    I had chicken wings and they were awesome. I have stayed at the Mead many times over the years when I come to see my friend's band-The Lizardz. They were playing at Hollyrocks which is like a one block walk. What I and others miss is the music on the patio that the Mead used to have. It was a nice little area to kick back and listen to music. Besides that I don't have any complaints about the hotel.

    No carpeting in the guest room made the room feel cleaner. The hotel was centrally located and was near restaurants, stores and near the baseball fields we were visiting.
