Located in Siglufjörður, Siglo Hotel by Keahotels offers 4-star accommodations with a terrace and a bar. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge, as well as a sauna and a hot tub.... One of the my best stays in Iceland. Enjoyed the outdoor hot bath, which the property also offers indoor sauna (but note operational at selected timings only). The room is lovely with a window overseeing the 'boat on the dock'. There is a common area for people to gather and chat, with central heating in the centre. The breakfast buffet was great too, served in the restaurant, and you get to enjoy nice views as well ... however, they close the restaurant when breakfast is over, meaning all patrons will be asked to adjourn elsewhere. The bar is open in the evenings, but pretty pricey so go easy on the alcohol :)

Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodations 3.1 mi from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. One of my favorite hotels in all five trips I've done to Iceland. The staff are helpful and friendly and the place is very warm and cozy. The view of the lake from the room is perfect for viewing the northern lights right from your bed!!! The breakfast and dinner are excellent.

Located in Geysir, a few steps from Geysir, Hotel Geysir provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Our stay at Hotel Geysir was fantastic! The memory foam bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room and facilities were spotlessly clean and well-designed. The tasty breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, including an authentic Geysir Bread. Additionally, Mr. Fabio's exceptional hospitality added a personal touch to our experience. Highly recommended for a memorable stay near the Geysir!
