Fosshotel Mývatn is located next to Lake Mývatn, 4.2 mi to the Mývatn Nature Baths. The hotels provides free WiFi and free private parking. We were very satisfied with the hotel. It had a beautiful design. Even the shower corner was tiled so well that no water leaked into the bathroom! The stunning views of the lake with grazing sheep complemented this beautiful hotel design. The staff was very friendly, and we especially appreciated the excellent chef – the food was truly delicious

The room has a harmonious interior design and the beds are really cozy and comfy. Spacious bathroom and well located a bit outside of Akureyri, so that we could see the magical Aurora perfectly.

Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodations 3.1 mi from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. Nice hotel with great view of the lake. Super friendly staff who offered a golf car to carry our luggages into the rooms. GREAT breakfast, very high quality, with omelette/fried eggs made to order.

Located in Geysir, a few steps from Geysir, Hotel Geysir provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Breakfast was delicious!! The beds were extremely comfy and the room was beautiful + warm!! The staff were super friendly, especially the nice woman working the night shift, she shared great insight on how to view the northern lights. Walking distance from Geysir and we was the beautiful aurora there! I just rebooked because we had to come back before going home!!

Extensive and fresh breakfast. Spacious rooms. Friendly staff (they opened the gym earl for me). Gym and saunas (yes TWO saunas) were clean, modern and a great way to unwind, as was the outdoor jacuzzi

Located in Gardur, Lighthouse-Inn offers accommodations with free WiFi and a garden with a sun terrace and sea views. All units feature air conditioning and a satellite flat-screen TV. Lighthouse Inn is a fantastic spot in Gardur only 15mins drive from the airport. We decided not to hire a car and so a taxi cost us about 6000krone from the airport and the next day we bussed into Reykjavik using the public buses. We dined at the hotel restaurant for dinner and were so well looked after by Roberto. The next morning we were treated to a fantastic breakfast! We were hoping to spot the northern lights while out of the city but weren’t lucky this stay but would definitely return again as the Lighthouse Inn feels like such a treat! The lady on reception when we arrived was an absolute delight as well! You won’t be disappointed by a stay here. The facilities are top notch and a walk around the lighthouses is a must, it’s a peaceful and gorgeous place to be.
