Facilities were top notch, the extras like bread 🥪 butter, milk, jam, tea and coffee plus fresh eggs. You can have as much or as little heating as you like with the controller in the cottage. The whole place is done to a very high standard and the cleanliness is second to none, we didn't see anything that was missed.

Trim has a great castle, used in the filming of Braveheart.
Trim has a great castle, used in the filming of Braveheart. The guided tour of the keep is quite good. There is a friendly family of donkeys in a pasture just down the road from the castle and you are allowed to feed them (a sign with foods that are allowed is in the pasture). Trim is a great base for exploring Bru na Boinne, Mellifont Abbey, the Hill of Tara and other areas of interest. I actually;lly would have stayed 3-4 nights instead of 2, but we had reservations in a different area.

Trim castle is awesome!
Trim castle is awesome! The tour provides historical, anecdotal and architectural context for the structure, and the grounds have detailed markers and schematics to help you understand what you're seeing. We needed more time to explore the grounds, the ruined Abbey, and surrounding areas. Dinner at the Stock House restaurant provided a good steak and interesting decor to explore. Definitely a stop for a day or two on our next trip to Ireland.

We only stayed in Trim one night.
We only stayed in Trim one night. We went to the castle which is in pretty good shape. Entry is free but you can pay for a guided tour of the Keep which you should do.
We ate dinner at the Trim Castle Hotel in the Bailey Brasserie. It is a little expensive but we thought the meal was very good. The host was friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that our waiter was very busy and not very attentive but this would not keep me from returning.

Came to the hotel for a wedding.
Came to the hotel for a wedding. Lovely scenery of the castle from the rooftop and some rooms. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. My room was nice and had everything I needed and the breakfast was very nice. I paid €190 for 1 night stay in a double room which I thought was too expensive for a Monday night but overall I enjoyed my stay.

Trim is a beautiful town, with plenty to interest both adults and children. There are plenty of independent cafes and restaurants, making a lovely change from high streets with global chains.
Lovely walks along the river and around the Norman castle, the focal point of the town.
Hard to imagine a better place to stay in Trim!
One of the joys of travel is meeting people from other parts of the world and you will not meet nicer people than Sandy, the owner and Stephanie, the caretaker. Sandy and her husband have beautifully restored this historic building and it was a pleasure to stay here. It will surely be one of the highlights of our visit to Ireland. Breakfast was fantastic too.
I would highly recommend The Trim Rectory!
We stayed here for a wedding that was in a nearby village. We have all said we would love to return to spend more time InTrim.
The Hotel was perfect. The staff were exceptional, big shout out for Sandra for really looking after us and making sure all our taxis were booked.
It's such a relaxed vibe, we didn't want to leave. Really quirky little gem.
Fantastic breakfast and comfortable rooms and the friendliest staff. 10/10.
The location is perfect for a visit to Newgrange, and access to the Dublin airport. Mary did everything possible to make our stay comfortable, and provided many tips on places to see in the area. We are very appreciative of her efforts to help us meet some tight deadlines, and make our last 2 nights in Ireland an excellent end to our 2 week trip.
The location was perfect. Parking before we had to drive into the little town of Trim was very helpful for an inexperienced Ireland driver! It was an easy walk into town with lots to explore. Close to the airport yet far enough away to be away from the “ Big City”. Breakfast was very good.
Mark behind the bar was a gentleman made myself and 2 brothers feel welcome and home straight away lovely pints of Guinness open fire going on a baltic evening the rooms were also lovely and warm rads on full beds comfy and clean will stay again next time visit Trim for a Wedding
The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The room was cold about 9.00 pm as there was no heating on in the room. I rang reception and a lady delivered a heater to our room immediately. The hotel is in an ideal location when you are driving and the gym was good.
Rob was very welcoming and helpful. We left our bags early and they were in our room when we returned. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent choice at breakfast including a lovely fresh fruit selection. It was conveniently located for all our visits around Trim.
Right across from Trim Castle. Really nice hotel with modern, clean facilities. Our King room was lovely. Free parking in the garage beneath the Hotel. Our full Irish breakfast in their restaurant was wonderful. Amazing staff who were so friendly and helpful.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating . Breakfast was super good 👌, location was very central and it was very easy to get to different places around Trim. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We're definitely returning back soon.
Hotel courtyard house was lovely & warm, 5 adults stayed & all delighted with facilities, will be recommending a stay here to people.
Hotel staff very friendly & helpful.
We had a cousin reunion & sat night dinner in the golf club was excellent.
We loved this spot. After a long flight from Australia we wanted to get out of Dublin but not drive to far. The little village of Trim (5min away) was a perfect welcome to Ireland. This property was quiet, very comfortable and welcoming.
Pam was so lovely and location was brilliant to get to station house hotel for a wedding. Pam gave us a lift to the wedding, which was so nice of her. Breakfast was tasty, and the facilities were excellent. Would 100% recommend
It was a beautiful house, very warm and decorated nicely for Christmas. The bedroom was very ornate with lovely curtains and trimmings and the bathroom was large and very modern.
Convenient protected parking in front of the hotel. Great full Irish breakfast. Easy walk to the castle. My grandson had a monster, tasty burger in the restaurant
Beautifully decorated guesthouse set on very nicely landscaped property. Easy walk into Trim with all it has to offer. Everyone was very helpful and friendly.
The location was very close to the city center, Trim Castle and the self guided city tour.
Clean residence, very nice host and close to good restaurants.
