We stayed for a week-long ski trip around the new year. Overall, we had a great time. The cooking was exceptional, every day. Very attentive table service. Our room -- while not the biggest one on offer -- was comfortable for us (2 adults, 2 kids) and tastefully designed/decorated, e.g. from the quality wood furnishings to the old stove (heater) serving as a bench to the blue trim along the ceiling. We did enjoy the pool and whirlpool, but unfortunately didn't have enough time to enjoy everything there was.

Great skiing resort. Many ski-lifts and pistes to explore and they are all well prepared. The pistes are not too difficult, most of them are of medium difficulty, but there are also some pistes suited for learning skiers.
There is also a possibility to trek to the nearest peaks with or without the help of ski-lifts.
The wellness is also great with an outside heated pool from where you can see the ski pistes.
The area is well suited for families since it is peaceful and quiet.

The town is wonderful.
The town is wonderful. I can imagine it in a beautiful winter idyll, covered in snow and illuminated with lights. Autumn time - just as beautiful, but the fact is that after 10 o'clock everything closes. I would also like to see more cycling areas clearly marked - they lack this in snow-free times.

Nice town, not too crowded in september.
Nice town, not too crowded in september. There is a great country bike trail, 15 km long. For all age and even for those with less experience on trails and for children.
There are also other more dificult trails within 20-30 min car ride.
An ofcorse a lot of beautifull mountains, a lot of them are above 2000m. They are covered in blueberries!

The town is very nice, the skiing is even better.
The town is very nice, the skiing is even better. The only thing to keep in mind is that non-main roads are narrow and relatively steep, definitely bring your snow chains if your accommodation is a bit higher up.

We enjoyed our trip in Bad Kleinkirchheim, we went there mainly for skiing. When you get the ski pass, you have the choice to go to the thermal bath too. So we choose to go for one day in Romerbad. Pay attention, if you go to the Spa/Sauna area you have to pay in addition 20€ by person, nobody announces you and it is not written in English. Other point: you have to go naked in the Spa/Sauna area... On the prospectus is written unclothed ( we thought we can go in swimming suits). We were with our children -> so we had a not very pleasant situation and we had to pay 80€ in addition for nothing. In the Romerbad Thermal area the pools are not very big, so it doesn't worth to change a day of skiing with a day just in Thermal bath area. Enjoy skiing!

This was our favorite place that we have every stayed in Europe. We would have LOVED to stay longer. Dave was an amazing host. The building is an alpine style chalet. The rooms have windows that look directly across the street to the ski slopes. It was a perfect place to stay and walk to the lifts. There is a ski equipment room on the first floor to leave your gear upon entering the building. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, and well equipped. The parking was directly in front of the building, which was very nice.
The pension is perfectly managed by the owner, who prepare a perfect, local, amazing breakfast on daily basis. No restaurant available, but they can suggest many alternatives and choices in a very convenient driving distance.
In addition we also got very good recommendation about ski rental and details about the ski area. We also got very good advices about the thermal baths and spa
The room we got had 2 balconies and a very comfortable bed
We’ve stayed at the hotel for three nights with two small children (3 and 1) and everything was more than perfect. Gondola for skiing is 4 min walking distance and you can easily combine family time with skiing. The property has its own wellness so at the end of the day you just put on your bathrobe and enjoy your spa time :-). We will definitely be back very soon.
Hotel breakfast was good and sufficient, fresh.... would have loved a few more egg options, but good enough. Rooms are simple but clean and good, with excellent views.... and coming back in the after noon a nice little sun spot in the basement area to enjoy a vine or beer. Hotel also has a good key system to leave the room key at the hotel with a code.
The aparment is great, spacious, well equiped. Amazing for a family or two couples. It is not far from the ski slope, but you need to make sure that Nockalmbahn in running before you walk to the slopes. There is a ski room with boot dryers at the apartment. Easily could have been a 10/10.
This is a nice, family-run, quiet, small hotel. It is close to the ski slopes (there is a free ski bus stop next to the hotel that takes you to the gondola / thermal baths in about five minutes) and perfect for a good night sleep. The owners were kind and helpful. The breakfast was nice.
A simple yet modern new hotel practically right on the ski slopes, with very good and varied food, comfortable quiet rooms, and a children's playroom. If there's no snow in the valley, the Falkert and Turracher Höhe ski resorts are also nearby, both about a 15-minute drive away.
Whole that concept of small family hotel is good. Warm cozy atmosphere and kind staff were highlights of this stay.
Special kind was one waitress, she was the only one who always noticed problem and try to help.
With little investment and enthusiasm it can be a good hotel....
Stuff, Spa, Breakfast, Dinner and position in ski area are great! Stuff is excellent. Everybody are so kind, they know how to do the job; from cleaner lady to waitress... Also, food is great. A lot kind of food during the breakfast and dinner. TOP!
The location of the hotel is very good. It is very close to the ski lift. Very convenient when you can reach all ski resorts on skis with one entry. The hotel has a very good spa and a nice outdoor pool with thermal water.
Everything was perfect: the villa, the pool and sauna, the amazing view from the terrace, and our perfect hosts.
We were a large family, and found our stay very comfortable, we didn't want to leave.
Highly reccomended!
The location was very nice, beautiful park and view. We have uploaded some pictures of the Talstation Kaiserburgbahn Bad Kleinkirchheim, absolutely gorgeous, and also pictures of the Millstätter See.
The appartment is in the mountains, the weather and climate perfect for this time of the year, very peaceful, and one can hear a river nearby through the whole night.... Beautiful landscape
