I loved the convenient location near restaurants, bus stops, and the central area. The hotel is also within walking distance of Kings Park, which offers excellent vantage points to observe the Perth city skyline. The breakfast was scrumptious, and the al-fresco setting of the dining area was also delightful.

The room is basic yet comfortable. The view was slightly in-inspiring. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and it was good to have a small couch to sit on.

Sun-drenched and laidback, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.
The city centre has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.
Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.
The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialities such as western rock lobster and chilli mussels. There is also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from the Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

We went over for a conference and stay an extra 10 days for a holiday.
Visited Rottnest Island, Swan Valley, Kings Park, Rockingham, & Fremantle.
Perth has a number of buses which make it easy to get around without a car.
We did hire a car as we wanted to travel up and down the coast. But while we stayed in the CBD we used the Red Cat, Blue Cat, Purple Cat buses. Very easy and reliable.
Did a tour through Kings Park and visited the Perth Mint.
Did the Matagarup Bridge Climb and Zip. Played mini golf after we came off the bridge. Lots of fun.

Perth is a fantastic city, particularly for those with children. It’s family friendly with plenty to do and the weather is stunning. The beaches are sensational with many a walkway located alongside them. Cafes are abundant and cater for all, as are restaurants with prices to suit all budgets. People in Perth are also so friendly, great place to visit or stay on.

Perth is a souless boring backward red neck town.
Perth is a souless boring backward red neck town. Its dead as a door nail most nights. Just as expensive as Singapore but not even close to being as vibrant and interesting. Give it a miss at all costs if you can.
Our stay at Alex Hotel in Perth was truly amazing! Despite having to work during our stay, the hotel made it incredibly convenient with their excellent working space. They provided 24/7 access to snacks, croissants, and drinks, which kept us fueled and productive throughout the day. The combination of comfortable accommodations and a conducive work environment made our experience at Alex Hotel exceptional. Highly recommended for both work and leisure travelers!
The hosts were responsive and thoughtful. The apartment was well stocked with everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Bath towels provided were thick and fluffy (5 star hotel quality). A big plus that parking is provided.
Netflix was a hit with the kids. They loved the place so much they wished the stay didn’t need to end. Thanks to the hosts for the welcoming stay and we will definitely be back next time when we are back in Perth.
Location is super great for my stay in Alex hotel. It was a pleasant surprise to how near (within walking distance) to popular shopping and dining in Perth City in the Central business district. For most of other attractions in Perth City, Uber services are easily accessible too. WA Perth Museum is just right beside the hotel, another hidden gem. Decor of the hotel is modern is boutique vibe. Hot showers is working great too!
Convenient location with an IGA and take-away food options nearby. The bus stop to the CBD directly outside the hotel was handy. The airport shuttle service was excellent. Kids loved the pool, which was clean and great for cooling off after a hot day in Perth. The 2 bedroom apartment was comfortable and clean enough for our needs. Having kitchen facilities was also handy.
The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful to all guests. They remembered my name and made me feel like an important guest.
The hotel was neat and tidy, with easy access to the airport and one of Perth's main highways.
My stay at Sanno Marracoonda was the highlight of an otherwise very difficult trip.
The King room with spa was beautifully made up, the building is stunning and the hosts went above and beyond expectations. This was the best hotel experience I have had and will definitely be making this our go to in Perth.
Highly recommend if you want to treat yourself or someone you love to something special.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Perth. Overall, I had a great experience at 188 Apartments, staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great.
Perfect location for so many activities - Rottnest trip, ferry to South Perth, Kings Park, CBD. Loved the window seat and views across the Quay. Bed was really comfortable - and an extra blanket was easily organised. Great sleeps as the room was very quiet. Later checkout was no problem.
This is a lovely boutique hotel right in the lovely part of Perth City near laneways and coffee shops. It's also located near the central train station. The ammenities were modern and clean and the location was fabulous! Great value for money. We would stay here again.
It’s a good hotel. Good size room and adequate storage space. Well located, it’s just a very short walk to dozens of coffee shops and restaurants as well as most of the big office buildings in downtown Perth. Very quick stroll to the beautiful swan river.
access to excel golf course
room was terrific
shower was great
recently spent 2 months traveling in the UK - the quality of this basic room was close to what was in the 4 and 5 star hotels there, for less than half the price
breakfast very good, huge variety, big clean rooms with ample space. the hotel itself is a bit old in terms it wud require sooner or later an upgrade to keep its 5 stars but still a good choice in Perth!!!
Receptionist, Rachel, was very obliging and could not be faulted.
The downstairs Bistro - very good.
Wanted to book a hotel in close proximity to Perth airport and yes, it was.
I cannot fault the customer service of this hotel. It’s my favourite place to stay along this strip in Perth. The staff always go above and beyond to assist.
