Leuven is a great city with a lot of late Gothic...
Leuven is a great city with a lot of late Gothic architecture. You can see the entire city in a weekend. The top sights were the city hall and the Tafelrond with the Cathedral across from it.
The Begijnhof was actually one of the most beautiful places to walk to and through. So peaceful and beautiful architecture.
The Kruidtuin (botanical gardens) were a huge treat. Free entrance. Even in the winter it was fun to walk around.
M Museum is not that interesting. The collection is very small. It took about 1 hour to see everything.
Leuven is a university city but still has a lot of gastronomy. There are restaurants for every budget. I loved the La Cantina Mexican restaurant. Bar Louis was also awesome for drinks before dinner.
The stores are all closed on Sunday so take that into account when you go. I would definitely go back again sometime. You can walk everywhere.

Beautiful small city, with everything within walking distance. There is a very wide range of eating places both in terms of price and type. The train connections are excellent to other local places, Mechelen was especially attractive.

Beautifull, historic city.
Beautifull, historic city. Splendid townhall, beautifully iluminated before Xmas. Library with great arquitecture and tragic 1st and 2nd World Wars history. Countless cafeterias, restaurants, bars, Xmas market at the Groote Markt. For churches lovers - very interesting places to see.
M Leuven - art museum definately worth seeing. I had the luck to see the exhibition "Dieric Bouts. Creator of Images". Oct23-Jan24. Many events connected with this Leuven citizen and artist of the 15th century.

Leuven is a beautiful town with a lot of old and well...
Leuven is a beautiful town with a lot of old and well restored buildings, plenty of eating places and very lively not the least as a result of the student population which consists of walking and cycling Belgian and International students. Although the weather was quite bad we walked around before going to dinner The area around the Begijnhof makes you feel like you go back in the time.
Another great thing about Leuven is that you can do everything on feet as everything is within walking distance.
Cosy, clean, stylish apartment, very pleasant and helpful hosts, easily accessible and quick to solve any problems and provide information. Air conditioning, wi-fi, small fridge, microwave, coffee and coffee maker, iron and ironing board. Great shower, very comfortable bed. Close to the train station, 15-20 minutes walk to the city centre and old town. A great place for those who don't like big hotels. Boutique Leuven has its own spirit and style, I think we will come back and recommend it to others!
The room was spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, the blackout curtains did their job very well. Easy walk from the train station (5-7 minutes) but you can't hear the trains at all. Terrific breakfast. I know they have parking but I didn't have a car so I can't tell you about the parking experience. The town square is about a 10-15 minute walk, not bad at all. The staff were all very friendly.
The hotel is close to Arenberg Campus of KU Leuven - 10 min walking, it took almost the same time for the bus so the location is convenient to those who come for business in KU Leuven. The hotel is located near the bus stop to both campus, the city center and the central station. The room was what they promised, with a minikitchen, bathroom and fast Wifi. Everything worked well, air-conditioner and all.
The location is very central, approx 10-15min walk from the Leuven train/bus station and very close to the main square, with plenty of restaurants.
The room was large (paid extra) and clean, and complementary water was welcomed. There is also a great selection of food and drinks at breakfast.
The hotel is ideally located by the train station and a short walk to the main stretch of shops and attractions in Leuven. The hotel room was a good size, had a good range of toiletries and a decent hairdryer which is always a bonus!
Good location, 17 mins walk from city center, 5 mins from train station. Parking possible in front of the hotel, easy self check-in. Very clean! When
Windows shut: surprisingly quiet! (Being situated onna very very busy road!)
The location of the hotel is perfect if traveling by train! It's about a 10 minute walk to the city center and right next to the train station. The breakfast was plentiful and check-in was very easy.
A cosy, clean hotel, close to the Herent train station, easy to take train to Leuven and then Brussels Zaventem airport!
I arrived late and could not have dinner, nor I had breakfast
The hotel is a typical IBIS hotel but at 2 or 3 times the usual price, probably something to do with the location and shortage of hotels in the area. Breakfast was excellent.
Right next to the train station so very convenient if you're arriving with a lot of luggage. The breakfast is included and it is pretty decent for a couple of days stay.
Hotel is in good place , it is near old town, car parking is near - 22,10 EUR; if you know -what is Ibis budget then this is very good place where to stay.
