The beds, bedding and towels were great. It’s was nice to have a restaurant lounge adjoining the lobby. The view was so nice and peaceful, outside of the city and away from train noise. We had 2 rooms and they were on opposite sides and the view was nice for both. Parking was free. Room was spacious. Coffee in room.

Kamloops is a friendly, family-oriented city - truly The City of Tournaments. I recommend the city pool. It's bright and clean, and there was hardly anyone there ! The Koh-I-Nor Nepalese restaurant has an excellent lunch buffet. The traffic is agitated: folks tend to drive like they're still on the highway - on the city streets, and racing shopping carts around Costco.

There are lots of amenities, shops, hiking trails, and hotels/motels in Kamloops so its a convenient place for travelers. The downtown core features numerous interesting cafes and restaurants, but also the considerable (and growing) presence of homeless individuals. More than anything, that just contributes to a feeling of helplessness since - how can we help them all? If you want to hike or shop without hitting the downtown, the area between downtown and the Wildlife Centre features several options and the wonderful Dallas/Barnhartvale trail system. On the North Shore, Lac Du Bois Grasslands Protected Area is great for hiking and, again, many shops and eateries. I visited Fortune Health Foods the other day and the lady in there was very friendly, it's a good place for supplements, herbs, and some international foods.

Main reason for trip was to visit son at the TRU which is only a 10 min walk away. Bus stop very near to hotel so if without a car its easy to access the town via buses that run frequently. The airport is only 25/30 mins away. It was also very convenient to catch the Rider Express Coach, 3 mins walk up the road by the Esso garage, with the route between Vancouver to Calgary via Banff and Lake louise.
In the summer months a walk along the Thompson river shoreline is a must and maybe a swim in the river.

From the mall and the Costco, Kamloops is a place for families on the go. It is, after all, The Tournament Capital of Canada. I ate at a mall food court, as good as any. Driving around Kamloops can seem a little zany at times - the highway runs through the town. I started at the Best Budget Inn - it has excellent value. Then, The Plaza has character, especially the 1927 lift, and lobby decorated brightly for the holidays. Downtown Kamloops, like so many others, can be colourful. I was disappointed to see some thrift shops closed, but, of course, it was the holidays - what did I expect ? Families need to be together. There is really nothing in Kamloops I would avoid. Even the souped up pickup truck doing a brake stand for the benefit of so many was something to see. Talking with elders in Kamloops is enriching, as usual. Kamloopians are friendly, helpful and interesting.

Ignored our emails for a certain room type.
Ignored our emails for a certain room type. Needed a shower only room. Was told on arrival that they had none left. I asked why? when I had emailed months ahead of time to be allocated one. Was told hotel was full and they did not read the email. So chose to ignore it. Solution from them was to put a chair in the bath. Well the issue was one of the people travelling could not get into the bath. Great safety by putting a chair into the bath. Horrible.
Eventually moved to another hotel which was far greater value. They had to pay the difference in room price as they admitted fault at last.
We stayed last minute over night in Kamloops and nothing can be better to have friendly staff from front desk on arrival. Our sleep were amazing in comfortable bed and instant hot shower after long trip on the road. We walked around during night down to the park the up to restaurant.
I highly recommend to stay at Delta in Kamloops Downtown, specially for a quick night or two, everything in walking distance.
I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The pictures online make it look pretty dumpy but once we got there we noticed how incredibly clean it was. The front desk person who checked us in was very friendly. The beds were comfy. Our room was very small but who really cares about that. The location is very convenient too. I will book here again on our way through Kamloops.
Our visit was unusual. We ended up not having a room in the hotel due to an admin error when we arrived very late in the day. However staff and management were very professional and creative and were able to generate accommodations nearby. This demonstrated exceptional creativity and kindness. Thank you.
Front desk staff went over and above to accommodate my needs. We had medication that needed to be refrigerated and they looked after us. Great location and facilities. Breakfast was good for our family . Would recommend this hotel and we will be going back !!!
The hotel is a good option for a quick stay. There is a pool and free breakfast in the morning and the rooms are a decent size. As well, they are pet friendly with a decent pet fee ($15 per pet). Beds were nice and firm and comfortable.
Located close to the center of Kamloops with coffee shops, bars and restaurants, all reachable by foot. Clean and spacious room, modern equipment. Small kitchen area within the living room.
Parking available for hotel guests.
The location is ideal. Close enough to walk downtown and to the River Trail. Very quiet location. The room was exceptionally clean. I really enjoyed the supper I had at the restaurant. Liked the amenities in the room.
I liked that the Room was pretty peaceful, overall. The Room's Furniture appears to have been well-maintained throughout the years. I had a really good view of the city of Kamloops, BC. It is a nice, older Hotel.
We loved the pool area!. Nice spacious pool too. Hotel staff were welcoming, polite, and helpful. Nice location, just across the highway from the mall, which was great since we came for the shopping!
Excellent location. Walking distance to Royal Inland Hospital and downtown Kamloops. Also, Denny’s is within walking distance. Lots of parking area. Staff are very respectful and accommodating.
The hotel is in quiet & convenient location and was within our budget. I like that it has an outdoor pool for hot Kamloops days and an outdoor patio on the fourth floor.
