The proximity to downtown. They serve sunday brunch. Staff are friendly. When we called for early check in because we had a long drive and have a baby with us, they allowed us to be as early as 1 pm and crib was ready when we came in.

I wouldn’t stay anywhere else! The Moose was in the best location in Banff- walkable to all of the delicious restaurants & shops. My family enjoyed the 2 very spacious hot tubs after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We loved our stay so much- the staff was lovely and had great customer service. I can’t imagine a better property for families especially as there is also an indoor pool. The smell of fresh wood in the fireplace daily was divine!

Banff was busier than expected, even in mid June. As my husband said, it was like Pitlochry (Scotland) on steroids! However, if you avoid Banff Ave, we found peace & quiet. On one of our walks just outside the town we never saw or heard anyone for 2 miles of our 7 mile walk. If you plan ahead carefully you can have a good stay. Had a nice walk from town along the river and a decent pint at the brewery. Glad we stayed in Tunnel Mountain. Took advantage of free transit but also appreciated free parking at the train station ( make sure you arrive before 10am!)

the town is heavily filled with tourists, then quite noisy and crowded in the very center, during our stay in July it is difficult to find a place in a restaurant – waiting time for a outside table 15-20 minutes plus another 15-20 minutes of waiting for a meal, picturesque gardens by the bridge over the Bow River, a beautiful walking path along the river to the waterfall, a good starting point for other attractions in the nearby area, personally, next time I will choose to stay in the cheaper, less noisy Canomore

Banff is well situated and has an extensive selection of tours and activities. Banff Gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain is a must do visit as the views are spectacular. The upper hot springs are a relaxing couple of hours and the multitude of shops are worth spending a few hours in. With Lake Louise, Lake Moraine and the Rocky Mountains on your doorstep, it’s an ideal place to spend a few days.

Last time I was in Banff was 24 years ago, and it hasn’t changed a bit, other than small bits of modern technology. It’s clean everywhere, extremely well maintained. It’s the kind of place you want to be frozen in time in almost every way, and that only thing they add is modern connectivity.
The Bad: is they rape your wallet at every turn.

Banff is a beautiful little town right in the mountains.
Banff is a beautiful little town right in the mountains. The views are fantastic and the walk along the Bow River is gorgeous. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, lots of shops and lots if things to do and see.
It’s easy to walk around as it isn’t big but it is flat. There are buses to nearby places you may wish to visit too.
One thing to note is that Banff is in a national park and as such there is a daily fee to be there.
A lovely 2-night stay in Banff - the hotel is exceptional from the room to the staff. The room was well accommodating, clean and spacious. The staff were so lovely and told us the best way to get to Lake Louise as it was very hard to get into due to high demand. The hotel is about a half an hour's walk along the main road from the hub of Banff, however, there is a free shuttle service and bikes.
Amazing stay, best of our Canada roadtrip. Alexandra, her husband and Esther are the best hosts ever. The bed and the room were excellent and the breakfast was superb. 5min walk from Banff centre. Exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Warm and welcoming, yet quite and private. Perfect!
Everything, the location is great (approx 25mins from Banff).
Lovely little authentic cabin.
Fantastic restaurant - best meal we had in Canada. Top marks to the chef!
