Take Hwy 19A to Campbell River. It's just so beautiful. The Painters Lodge was a true hidden gem: 5 Star. Guests could book several different tours directly from the lodge. Loved Elk Falls hike and Rebecca's Spit hike on Quadra Island; great kayaking on Quadra Island too! Did not have enough time to walk all the different hikes in the area! Miracle Beach is a wonderful adventure just waiting to happen!! Fantastic Canada Day celebrations!!!

We came for a Grandson's wedding which was held outdoors in a park. (Sorry, I forget the name) It was on a point of land by the float plane base. We did not get a lot of time to look around. The photo attached is of the Ramada hotel taken from the air while out for a flight with my grandson who is a commercial pilot.

Ideally located the heart of Campbell River, restaurants, ferry and shops are within walking distance or a short drive. Friendly staff made check-in a breeze, thought the early morning front desk staff had to be interrupted from personal conversation in order for us to check out. Room was very clean and comfortable. Overall, there were no issues with our stay.
