The hotel is new and clean. Maria Júlia herself is always around. She bakes fresh buns in the morning and prepares whatever you ask her to. The staff are sweet and helpful. The location is great! And the bar at the terrace is very pleasant.

I would have spent 3 days there maximum and spent the other 4 days in Tarrafal, instead.
In general I enjoyed my stay there, but Tarrafal it’s a different world, where you can actually feel the culture and be surrounded with beauty. Cidade abelha is also a must and it’s absolutely beautiful.
I would have loved to manage to see the typical ceramics, but people don’t talk much and don’t value much (unfortunately). I actually went to Sai Domingos on purpose to see it, but the locals said it was closed.

Praia is the capital of Cape Verde.
Praia is the capital of Cape Verde. The Santiago island is not the best if you are looking for a great beach experience. There are other islands with easy access that have superb beaches. We did a tour around the island which was interesting visiting Cidade Velha and Tarrafal as well as Sao Vicente. Tarrafal was a nice beach. The two main markets in Praia are a must see, also where you can buy some mementos.

Praia is a small "African" town, where you stroll around and enjoy the moment. There is actually nothing spectacular to see, but as a whole it is quite enjoyable. We walked thru Plato and along the beaches (Quebra Canela and Prainha). The restaurants there are really great: good food and nice view! But prices are higher than one would expect, more European.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Oasis Praiamar. The room I had was quiet, clean, and very comfortable.
The view from my room was lovely.
Their buffet breakfast was one of the best I've had. I love the large selection of fresh bread, fruit, fresh juices, and everything they had on the buffet.
And the view from the dining area was gorgeous.
I also liked that there were dining options within walking distance of the hotel. And a small beach below.
I would stay here again.
The spacious apartment is very tastefully furnished and spotless clean. From the terrace you have a beautiful view of the sea and nothing blocks your way. I would say it’s the best view in town. The area is safe and peaceful, you can reach the beach Quebra Canela strolling along the promenade and there are some really nice cafes and restaurants close by in Av. Santiago in Palmarejo. The hosts are very lovely and helpful and provide you with all information you need for your stay!
The staff were extremely nice to us as soon as we arrived. We were looking for a nice hotel near the airport that was affordable and this was exactly it. We were also surprised to enjoy breakfast in a lovely terrace. As a sign of the incredible staff we checked out but forgot to return the key as we were in a hurry, we realized at the airport and were going to head back but the hotel already sent somebody to the airport to get it back and saved us the trip, great great staff.
The hotel offered a transfer from the airport but we missed each other due to a several hour flight delay with no updates for the arrival time. They also assisted with providing me with guidance on how much I should pay to get around the island by taxi. They even dropped me off in another part of town on my first morning there. On check out, they provided me with a shuttle to the airport without my asking. Also, the room was nice and clean.
The apartment is spacious and located in a very nice, calm and secure neighborhood with many attractions. It's close to many grocery shops and restaurants.
Being not far from Praia, it's very easy to get to downtown by the many bus serving the area.
We were a family of four and felt like home
Stefan, the host was very responsive and tried to do it's best to satisfy our needs.
The staff were very amazing and welcoming, the housekeeping service staff are always doing the cleaning and keeping the environment very clean, the restaurant is perfect and the location of the hotel is very easy to find,In my general overview,I give a 5 star ⭐ to all the staff and management, nice job and keep it up
the communication with everyone at the hotel food was excellent they went above and beyond to get what i wanted its my 3 rd time staying there i asked for a taxi driver that spoke english to help me with transactions it made my needs met without all the effort without me to stress about it.
Perfect place to stay in Plateau, the heart of Praia. Very clean, cosy, modern and comfortable. Very well equiped kitchen and fresh bathroom. Good view. Because of very kind owner miss Maria and her friendly staff, this place definitely has soul.
Most highly recommended.
These are really nice apartments (it's bigger and nicer than our own in the Netherlands). The host is super helpful and we were able to store some stuff whilst visiting some of the other Islands. The WiFi is also really fast (30MB down, 14MB up).
The apartment was fully air conditioned. it comes with a kitchen with facilities. There is a safe in the room to keep your valuable belongings. Very helpful staff. You can rent a scooter to travel around the town at the hotel.
What a great place - modern renovation and an amazing bathroom, efficient air conditioning, great view of the Port of Praia and the perfect location for enjoying the Plateau or walking to the beach area near the embassies
Warm welcome from the proprietors, the studio was very clean, fresh towels, air con, and really nice room. I think one of the best in Santiago island - if not the best for cleanliness, comfort and facilities.
Great breakfast, with variety of fruits, bread, juices and pastries. The room was very clean.
Staff were very polite and respectful.
The pool was great and, in general, the hotel had a great atmosphere.
This is a private house with 3 rooms. The couple (who also live here) are very nice and try to accommodate all requests. Very helpful to navigate Praia.
