Felt at home immediately upon arrival. The staff were super friendly, offered us fresh juice and immediately made a dinner reservation for us for that night. The central courtyard is relaxing and a great space to hang out. Rooms were nicely decorated. Very quiet at night. Goo location close to everything.

Unique stay and experience in the Fogo caldeira- family owned and operated and authentic. The staff were helpful and kind - they added to the experience. Think skies void of light pollution- perfect for star gazing (bring layers!), hikes and time free to take in the unique otherworldly landscape. If going to the caldeira, spending a night or 2 here is definitely recommended

Very clean, reception staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, and they even packed me breakfast when I had to leave early for the ferry.

Big Game is a delightful place with extremely capable and friendly staff. It has charming decorations and is very clean. It is on the main street of Porto Ingles (also called Vila de Maio), the main town on the island of Maio. That street has several restaurants and shops and ends at a park overlooking the beach. Everything is easy to walk to. The restaurant in the Big Game is very good, if expensive compared to other places.
My room (11) was a large one and it had an extra bedroom that I did not use. It also had a small balcony overlooking the back of the property, with no view of anything interesting. Furniture was minimal, with only one dining room style chair and a sort of cabinet to house the small refrigerator and TV.
The staff were fantastic. Mirko, in particular, is a tremendously friendly man who seems to genuinely care about all the hotel's guests. The hotel rents quads and cars; I rented a quad for a day and he marked a suggested itinerary on a map he gave me. It was perfect.
I really liked the place.

Spacious, modern and comfortable rooms. Great cleaning service on a daily basis. Delicious breakfast with various choices.
Super friendly staff and very helpful support by Dory for clarifying important details beforehand and organizing individual activities and transfers.
Great location, 2 min walk from the most beautiful beach on Sal.
Would highly recommend for an individual stay on Sal, instead of resort holidays.

Cátia and Eloi, who run the place, are 5-star! They're welcoming and go the extra-mile to make you feel at home. They also gave me a lift to São Filipe - which I very much appreciated. The hotel's location is right on top of a very calm bay, is great. Food was also great.

The room was about perfect. It was clean, with nicely arranged furnishings. The rooms were nicely arranged around a small pool and courtyard area. The staff were friendly, helpful and always cheerful. The location was very nice, we ate at very good restaurants that were just minutes walk from the hotel. They packed a wonderful to go breakfast for our early morning flight.
We would highly recommend The hotel Savana for your Sao Filipe stay.
