The hot water in the shower was the only positive.
The hot water in the shower was the only positive. This hotel should be closed down until the construction works are completed. At 0730am today 18th June work began making noise using a material hoist outside my window. The bed mattress was woefully uncomfortable, the carpets are dirty. My bedside light cables where joined with insulation tape. The elevator stopped 70mm too high and was a trip hazard. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

A very big city, but easy to see thanks to the excellent public transport system, which is very easy to navigate with the help of google maps functions. In Berlin, the Museums were definitely worth seeing, especially the Museum of Ancient Egyptian Culture, the Nature Museum and the Kupferstichkabiett gallery of ancient paintings. Eating out in Berlin is expensive, for a large beer producer, the prices of beer in pubs are very high. The best place for beer, fries and curry sausage was the BBQ Kitchen under the train bridge (Am Zwirngraben 5) and the locally recognized ramen place ALATA ramen&curry near the Nature Museum.SantaLatvia - 10Scored 10

The modernity of the architecture against the historical re-builds makes this a really interesting city to visit. It is a work in progress so don't be disappointed if you see construction or re-construction going on in many districts. Despite the centrality of the district I would warn you against staying anywhere near Alexander Platz. It is very noisy and congested. Highly recommend hotels in other areas of Mitte. There is so much to see and do in Berlin central and outlying districts if you stay for at least 4 or 5 nights. If it's raining, there are galleries and museums galore to visit. Street art is everywhere.

A vibrant city. Plenty to do and see. Great train system which makes it a cheap, easy way to explore the city. Wonderful zoo in the heart of the city. Will definitely be back. 2 days was not enough. Enjoyed the history at Checkpoint Charlie and seeing a portion of the Wall and the Jewish memorial. Good choice of cafes, bars and resteraunts for all budgets

One night we were too tired to go far and had dinner at hamburger place nearby (Peter Pan) and it was adequate to good. I would have liked more restaurants nearby. We did not try Amigo Cohen as we wanted German food in Germany. Did go to Zollpackhoff,a short cab ride away and Sapori di Casa also a short cab ride away and enjoyed dinners there.

Although nothing spectacular, but for 65€ a night (2 people) I find this is a pretty good value.

Hotel location was excellent, within walking distance of much of Berlin city centre, and also right by an u-bahn station. The rooms were a good size, clean and with comfortable beds. The kitchenette was well equipped and you even get 2 free bottles of water and 2 free bottles of beer per day! The hotel were happy to look after our suitcases before check-in and after checkout which was really helpful.
