They had secure parking for our bikes. The breakfast was very good. It was just steps from the Rhein and EV15 (a bike route). We were able to get on the bike path quickly in the morning. Across the street was a beer and fries place.

    Sinzig is a village with plenty of little restaurants but Hotel Tappes lies in the neighbouring village and it is a 1.5km walk into Sinzig (and the nearest open restaurant). I think it would make an ideal base for hikers and bikers.

    We have stayed at the accommodation before several times as a stop over to and from our drive to Bavaria. It is just a couple of km off the motorway but is set in beautiful countryside and is a small personal place that we prefer to stay in rather than a big hotel. Vera is a kind and thoughtful host and the room was very comfortable and quiet in a peaceful location. We would certainly stay here again, and in fact are doing so on our return journey to the UK next week.
